Some fixya user told me a website reliable-store it is very good.. I used it to repair my shredder it had some spark issue which wasn't easily fixed. you can go there and try
I looked for a bypass for your models but none listed . just remove the cartridge. this should work. you could also by pass the filter by connection the two lines lik they do on water softners. . valve or connector in back .. now a word to the wise . they do not recommend hooking the frig up to r. systems as the do not produce enough pressure to the main valve to shut if off ( sometimes ) thus causing a flood . if you do use 3/8 or better line size . this will help .. **** . hope this helped . mm
Lawrence, you will need to get a filter plug that replaces the filter, if you don't want to use the fridge filter element, otherwise, you will not be able to get ice and water from the dispenser.
I tried to look up the part you need, but the model number you provided appears to be missing some alpha or digits. I would suggest you contact KitchenAid or the retailer where you purchased it from, and ask them to order you the plug. Sometimes these fridges are shipped with the bypass plug installed and the new filter gets put in at installation by the delivery people, etc. If yours already had the filter installed, you'll have to buy a filter cap/plug in order to still get ice and water from the fridge.
Your filter might be clogged. Did your refrigerator come with a water filter bypass plug? If so, take the filter out and install the plug. If things start working again, you'll know it's the filter which you can easily replace.
They do make a bypass for this which you can get at http://www3.sears.com/. Will need to know the entire model # from the sticker on the inside of the fridge. If you have trouble let me know. I would the the model # also to help further. Also, it may say something about it in the owners manual. Let me what you find.
