sounds like a defective str power regulator ic .......but my advice get a tech to resolder all the pins at the power suppy board area, there may be some open pins that triggers the on and off episodes
Check and make sure your fans are working and there is sufficiant cooling to the back of the set. Sounds like it is overheating and going into protection mode.
IF YOUR IMAGE IS ALL WHITE YOUR LOGIC BOARD IS DEFECT BUT IM SAD TO SAY DO NOT REPLACE THE LOGIC IT WILL ONLY TEMPORARLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM THE PANEL IS OVERLOADING THE LOGIC BOARD PANEL IS BAD
I had a problem that has not been fixed that i had put glass cleaner on my tv and every time i turn it off it comes back on sooo i do not have a solution so i need more and cheap ways to fix my tv.
