There are 2 ways,
Connect your DCR-PC9 with computer via iLink/ DV/ IEEE1394 (all are same thing) cable and transfer digital movie data in computer. (DCR-PC9 is digital camcorder)
Or connect your camera with DVD Recorder and burn DVD.
Thanks.

Sony dcr-pc9 troubleshooting cassette wont eject

This is an error between the bidectional circuit and the motor or the gear.it will be difficult to fix if you're not qualified for. Take off the battery and Try to remove the cassette cover tray with a small screwdriver by rolling down the motor gear which is close to the reading-head.But be careful for not breaking anything. when you have done place the battery back in.

Mode for playback of older 8mm tapes using Sony DCR-TRV730 ?

In 1990s Sony camcorder records movie in analog format so playing in digital camcorder like DCR-TRV730 doesn't mean it will be converted in digital format and you can not import file in PC for editing purpose. You will get analog signal while playing back old cassettes.

Regarding SP, LP speed, its decided at time of recording. Camera sens SP or LP automatically in playback and set itself accordingly.

If you want to convert old cassettes into digital format, connect our camcorder to DVD recorder and burn DVD which is digital format, copy DVD files in to PC and do desired editing.

Downloading images

Make sure you have a DV cable also know as a firewire cable. You will need some software to capture the video from your camera to your hard drive. Pinnacle Studio is an inexpensive system for capturing, editing, and producting videos to DVD.

Make sure you have a firewire port in the back of your computer.

Download moving images to computer for duplication to dvd.

You will need to have a firewire cable at the very least. Then if you have a more Windows XP (or higher) PC equipped with an ieee1394 hardware or an apple computer ... you're all set to capture video from PC9 to other format like youtube or DVD.

Transferring video on cassette to Mac OSX

Are you transferring from cassette to memory card and then to Imac? certainly there is software supported by Imac to accomplish this. You can convert your videos to MPEG format using Imagemixer then try uploading with another program. Imac and OSX should have websites that list compatible software.
