Tv have a problems known as a convergence picture problems,it is dead.Tv have R,G,B colors lines mis alignments, have colors pictures shadows or 3D pictures look alike?Yes,than the tv convergence board have dead parts like 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too. These parts on the tv convergence board must have be replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems. The shop will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
My tv didn't turn green, but the red separated significantly. It started off happening after a few minutes of being on (I suppose the defective part was "warming up"), then it got to where it was like that immediately upon turning the tv on. In my case, I had to pay a tv repair man $350 for a new part. There are 2 microcircuits that control the color alignment--one that controls the red only, and the other controlls the other 2 colors, blue and green I believe. Maybe your part is the blue/green controller, mine was red. The repair man said these parts fail so rarely they don't stock the part. The cost of repair may be different for a different part, but either way you have to choose if it's worth that cost to you. If you get rid of it, I'll buy your tv stand ;-), I bought mine from a friend and didn't get the stand in the deal.
Hi,
In my opinion, you need TV-Technician to rectify the tv problem.
In case you want to fix it yourself, you should get its service manaul or schematics and enough knowledge of Electronics because TV has high voltage risk inside.
Intermittant convergence alignment issues are quite common.
Either solder the convergence IC pins or better yet , change out
the IC's with first quality OEM spec or upgrade..............T.
A magnetic field such as would come from a speaker might cause the ghosts but would not stop your set from coming on when it's hot.
You may have a horizontal deflection problem
such a bad flyback transformer or some other component that gets worse with temperature.
You need to have it checked out by a technician.
