Water leaking from the door and door will not unlock after washing

Have the washer for a while and just started to leak from the door and the door will not unlock after alert is sounded. Check the drain and filter and it was fine. Checked the seal on the door and the seal looked fine...any suggestions?
Thanks for your time.

I have had the same problem with water leaking from the door and have also tried everything VoodooDoctor did and is still leaking. Also there is a bad smell like mildew in the washer.

I have had this same problem. I haven't come up with a solution to the leaking door yet. I also have the problem of the mildew smell which in turn makes my clothes smell as well. DISGUSTING!!!! I have run a load of bleach and then vineger through the washer and even that cleaning didn't seem to work.

I just placed my order @ home depot for the LG TROMM front loader washer. i purchessed the 5 yr warrenty and i belive after reading some of the comments in here that this was a good move. I used a maytag neptune @ work and it was a peice of JUNK! it has the mildue smell everyone is talking about. i was told of a remidy for this smelly issue. pour a good amount of casscade dishwasher POWDER not liquid into the washer drum and then pour bleach into the wash slot on the fron loader and then put the washer on the longest setting and let the machine run the cycle. i hope this works for you. i will try it once a month om my front laoder when its delivered. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Slip a sheet of newspaper under the bottom of the machine and it will indicate the area. If is does it when the machine is not running. My guess is that it is around the pump because some water always sits there, so either the pump body or the drain hose itself.

I see water down on the floor after the wash load is completed. Initially when washer starts, there is water on the ground.

Your observation of the leak is very important to confirm the point of leak. Check for leak from the door gasket on the front door, check for drain pump/valve leak, check for drain hose leak from a faulty clip.

My front load kenmore washer door gasket is garbelled

Something probably got caught in the seal and pulled it out of place. If u run washer so that it fills up and starts tumbling,,, and there is no water leak,, there is a good chance u can repair this yourself. So if there is no water leaking,,, you can try and take out the bottom front panel and twisting, or shoving it back into place. If there is water leaking,,, than chances are its ripped or broken, and will need to be completely replaced

Leak

It sounds like you have a leak somewhere around the door bellow. This is the rubber boot that seals the wash tub to the door frame. Pull the folds back and inspect around the entire perimeter of the rubber. You could have a small rip or tear somewhere. There are a series of small holes in the bottom of the bellow that are supposed to be there. This is the allow any standing water to drain back into the wash tub. If you cannot find any obvious signs of leaks, remove the lower panel under the door. This is accomplished by removing the screws under the bottom edge of the panel. With the screws removed, the panel will drop down, then off. Start the washer on a normal wash and watch for any leaks. If the door bellow leaks, the front counterweight (usually a concrete block) will begin to get wet and drip. This could also be an indication of the bellow clamp around the wash tub being loose. If the leak starts to pool under the washer and run out the front, this is usually an indication of a drain pump leak or drain line leak. Please inspect the washer with the panel removed and the washer on a load and post back and let me know. Go to my profile and use the "Ask Me" feature for a quicker response. I hope this helps you.

PS One other item. On the left hand side of the door bellow is the a dispenser tube that penetrates through the bellow and allows water to enter the wash tub. Sometimes the dispenser tube is not seated all the way into the rubber (should be seated past the flange) and it will dispense water behind the rubber instead of into the wash tub. Just something else to consider...

Washer leaking water from underneath

Your leak could be coming from the rubber door seal. Inspect all the way around the rubber seal paying particular attention to the areas behind the rubber seal where it meets the wash tub. They wear with age and can develop small holes. When they start leaking it appears like water coming from under the machine. I hopes this helps.
