You can do it if you have an android phone and your contact list was saved in your google account.
Then you can sync it with your new phone.

Otherwise you need to find your old phone to transfer the list to the SIM card.

If you dont have your old phone, there is no way to get your contact list from it.

Go to settings on your phone, click on the phone option, it will display different option, select call forwarding or call divert, enter the number you forwarding the call to and press ok, you are done. follow the same procedure, when you get to call forwarding, you can select to cancel as you can no longer add a number.

Call your provider and cancel the phone and get a new one and ask them to transfer the old number to the new one, they will have no problem doing that for you as a customer..... Take care.... Guy

Unfortunately, with most cell phones, the only way to transfer contacts to a new phone is with a data transfer from the old phone. Both phones have to be present. If you contact TracFone, they might have a calling history that they might be able to mail you. Other than that, sorry I don't think there is any other way to get them.

If I were in your situation i would
-present the retailers with proof of my purchase(fone) at their outlet. (receipt, original packaging/box, warranty card).
-This should be enough for them to cancel/idle this number.

You could then:
-Buy another fone and have the same number transfered to your new fone so that all your contacts that have your number can contact you later on. (all they require to do this is, take down the imei number of the fone).

I do not know if it the companies policy or obligation to hold/idle the fone or not.

I do advise you that it may be a little heavy on the pocket but is worth it in the end.
