Reboot simply means to turn it off and start it up again...you do this by shutting it down and starting it back up later, or choosing restart from the shut down menu.

Your display setting does not match.You need to setting the display right way.Or you uninstall and install the VGA (graphics)driver again,and simply restart the PC.
I don't think it's hurting anything to use the power hold off solution... but try this: Turn off any blue tooth on your machine.... I was having alot of similar trouble with my black macobook dual core... and found via the mac forums that shutting the blue tooth off does help. It happens mostly when running on battery... If the power adapter is running, I don't have sleep wake restart etc issues.... but on batt power it does act up now and then. Try to the bluetooth off and see what happens. KEN
