Remove the memory card and look along the one edge you will see a switch, slide it over to unlock. the switch farthest from the contact is in the locked position to prevent deletion of your photo's.
There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the switch on the side of the card, or the switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). There is alittle slide on the memory card.
Take it out. Look for it. Depending what you have it may be yellow, look on the left. If it's down, slide up and it will be unlocked. :)
