5130-C2 KEYPAD NOT WORKING

I HAVE A NOKIA 5130 C2 PHONE. HERE THERE IS A COMPLAINT IS THAT KEYPADS ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY IN MY PHONE. SOME TIMES EVEN I COULDN'T ABLE TO DIAL THE NUMBER, AND SOME OTHER TIMES I AM UNABLE TO GET THE CONTACT LIST.

KINDLY TELL ME THE SOLUTION.

Why you had given to Nokia Care, What was the problem which take you to repair center.you should explain first.Hy, Chandraka, first thing make sure if your device is charging, if charge that means your device is working there is problem with keypad belt (which you need to change), so second you should not take your device in prior condition then before with Nokia Care, i think you should give responsibilty of this to Nokia Care.

There are reasons why your phones keypad is not working, first, have you tried re aligning your keypad if it fits exactly on the button, also, you may try pressing the keys without the keypad tofind out if the problem is just on the keypad or on the phones hardware already. Also, the keypads functionality may affect if it had a water spill or had dropped previuosly.

Switch-off your phone. 1. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone. Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show! 2. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your phone will back to original system and factory settting.

press MENU>AND STAR BOTTON ON YOUR KEYPAD.BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE IMMEDIATELY YOU PRESS THE MENU BOTTON YOU CLICK ON THE X BOTTON ON THE BOTTOM LEFT OF YOUR MOBILE PHONE IN NOT LESS THAN 2 SECONDS.

Hello. This is a common issue with keypads when the unit starts ageing. The flex cable needs replacement. Check the following and look up your model.
