If you've determined it's not the pots, and you've already performed a thorough cleaning, there are only 2 other issues which would cause this...
1) Faulty Pitch Control Fader - might need to be replaced or cleaned. I would try cleaning first, by opening it up, and if that doesn't work, then replace. Replacing requires soldering. If your not comfortable desoldering/soldering, DO NOT DO THIS. The PCB for the pitch control is discontinued, and if damaged, you will be out of luck in trying to find a new one.
2) Main PCB Drive Circuits - there are 3 IC's which control the pitch/drive of this unit. IC101, IC201, IC301, if any of them are bad, you will have issues. Unfortunately, at this stage, I would suggest contacting a service tech for assistance.
Good luck!

Sound like the pitch has been tampered with.
Right you felling confer dent if so get your self a Philips screwdriver switch the deck off & unplug it under the slip mat there are two big holes put your fingers in them then twist & pull the platter off its always a mission because of the magnetic brakes.
when you've got it off undo the 5 screws that hold the plastic cover on, then you'll see a circuit board on the top right hand side which has 2 pot one named BRAKE the other PITCH adjust the PITCH anticlockwise until it's slot is pointing up straight put it all back together but dont put the screws back in just yet.
test it first if it's still not right repeat this proses untill you nail it.
GOOD LUCK if you get stuk e-mail me [email protected]
if your not arsed about getting in there then theres another pot hidden underneath the pitch slider itself but you have to take the base off only do this if your confident you can put it back together.
this pot alters the pitch width.
GOOD LUCK MATE.lets know how you get on.
I can't remember witch of the 2 pots alters the pitch bend & pitch width. It was a long time ago when i last built a 12/10.
have you tried to find the wiring diagram for one coz they exists i use to have one, i'll have a look for it it's in my studio somewhere.
you got yahoo messenger? get me on there & i'll have a crack to you when i find this book.
Here I found 0ne:

Thanks. I will try that. Everywhere I look they say that the Green Lighted Zero CAN'T BE CHANGED.....but in this instance it has. I will come back with updates once I fix that.
Yeah Tatty. I already had the entire bottom off today to solder some better rcas (since the dude I bought it from sliced together RCAs poorly) as well as internally ground the ground wire.
My next step is fixing the pitch. Hopefully with what you have said so far I can tackle it and fix it tomorrow night.
So unfortunately the Pitch pot was perfectly centered and untampered with...BUT there was a good amount of "gunk" underneath.
I just found a forum of someone who had similar issues with the fader. The green light I forgot to mention doesn't go on when the Slider clicks in the center. This person on the forums had the same problem and it wound up being a lot of "gunk" under the actual pitch slider. I think the next step is to get under the pitch slider and clean it off to make a better connection. I will see if that helps. The ENTIRE pitch slider going by the dots is off. Everything is off by +2. So Hopefully that will help.
After cleaning out the pitch slider...underneath it, on top, and inbetween, there is absolutely no difference.
Some key points that I think may lead to my solution
The entire slider INCLUDING the quartz lock seem to be EXACTLY off my 2.
I am going to play around with the pitch control within the turntable (why are their two btw?...one under the pitch slider and one on top by the motor?) That may fix it all...If not it may be something more serious I can't fix on my own.
Anymore advice would definitely be welcomed.
So you think adjusting the pitch controls would do nothing?
The other option I have heard is to remove the actual Quartz Lock and realign the pitch shift.
I have tried cleaning the actual control fader as much as I could without desoldering. It did absolutely nothing.
How would I be able to determine if an IC is bad? any easy sign of one being damaged?
UPDATE: I figure this information would help.
The blue pitch knob under the platform has the arrow pointing northeast. The dots on platform are aligned as followed.
Top Dots: +6
Dots below top: +4
Center big dots: +2
Bottom dots: -1
So the top dots are aligned, but everything else is off. This confuses me a lot more. Any more advice would be appreciated.
I thoroughly cleaned the Pitch Fader with compressed air. I saw some minor dust bunnies fly out, but when I tested the turntable again, it had zero impact on the off-set rpms.
