Hi. Thanks for your question. For assistance on internal component of Aerogarden harvest you can visit https://www.reliable-store.com and download the entire workshop manual which includes all the information along with the diagrams for better understanding. Good day!
the float is not what needs cleaning.. its the needle and seat that the float controls that needs cleaning.. this is what regulates the flow of gas into the carburetor float bowl.. -- #32 on this exploded view.. http://www.carbparts.com/mikuni/vm18_144.gif
Have a look at the side of the evaporator; there is a probe (thermistor) attached to it that tells the control board when to initiate the harvest cycle. make sure it's clean and attached properly and doesn't need replacing. If hitting the float switch initiates the harvest cycle it sounds like you have a blocked/ scaled water tube or switch housing. take off the bottom of the switch assembly (black rubber bit) and clean through to the water chamber. run a cycle of descaler before trying again.
Is it a Nikki carb? The little brass piece is the main jet and goes in the long tube in the center of the plastic piece that holds the float and float needle. It is inserted from bottom side and seats in the top of the tube.
Something is holding the float needle open. A piece of trash, or the needle isn't in correctly or it may have gotten lost? The specific year and model of your bike was not mentioned so I chose the image below on a wild guess. The diagram is a 2004 Kawasaki KLX 125. Yours will be the same or very similar. In any event, this is the area that would be causing the problem. If you need parts, go to www.babbittsonline.com
the grate under the evap plates have been known to break off small pieces. These pieces get caught in the discharge of the pump and hold open a spring loaded valve which then let water out and tricks the float into a harvest.
It's the white triangle piece with 3 screws in it usually just about or next to the pump. Look for broken pieces inside of it. Remember, when you take it apart, it's spring loaded.
Are you able to post a picture of what pieces you have? The contact board may not be pressed down all the way or the contact itself may be bent. You should be able to purchase both pieces if needed from a pfaff dealer.
Yes. Call Garmin up and tell them the pieces came off they will send you free pieces (covered under warranty) just tell them that you know how to put it back together and you can see images online of how it should loo kafter it's put back
