SOURCE: How do I adjust to chain tension on my Mac 3200?

When I service one I clean all the debris out of the covers and the rail in the bar. Then reinstall all parts with the chain a little loose. Using a pair of gloves have the hex nut on the cover loose enough so you can raise the tip of the bar, while doing this use your screwdriver to adjust the screw so that when you lift up on the chain just the bottom of the teeth are about exposed. (drive section) still holding on the bar snug the hex nut and again lift the chain, after doing this pull the chain bu hand (with gloves on) to make sure it rolls freely and I always recheck a third time and then tighten the nut fully and go cut some wood

SOURCE: How do I remove the sprocket and clutch on the Mac

Use this as a guide:
R² Drive Link Outboard Clutch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdqkIuVNUQc

  1. Check at the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed.
  2. A length of starter cord or nylon rope may be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. It is probably a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).

SOURCE: oiler does not work on Mac 3200

I cannot find any 3200 series IPLs. Individual models can be found here:
McCulloch IPLs
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/McCulloch/139.59.html
If this is a Chinese Mac (MTD) they are very difficult to work on. Most saw shops will not repair one. GL
Oil System Plugged.
Remove the clutch cover, bar and chain. Clean the oiler hole and channel. Start the saw and see if it oils when revved up. If yes reassemble your saw.
If no a blunted, hooked piece of wire can be used to pull the hose in the oil tank out. I recommend the filter be replaced. Work your way through the linkage cleaning and replacing any defective parts as you go. Carefully check the hoses for cracks especially at bends and connections. If equipped with an oil pump it is usually behind the clutch (clutch is probably left handed thread). Please make extensive notes & some digital pictures will help during reassembly.

My chain can off my mac 3200

There should be two nuts on the main body of the saw just near where the chain bar enters the main body. Loosen them, slide the bar into the body, adjust the chain as needed, pull the bar out a bit to tighten the chain onto the bar, then tighten the nuts. You are good to go. Good luck. Please rate me.

I need to know which oil type goes into the oil chamber for the chain on a mac 3200 gas chainsaw, not the mixture...thanks

There really is no exact type of oil that goes into the chain and bar oiler. Each manufacturer usually makes their own, but any chain and bar oil will work. It is a thicker type of oil unlike a motor oil. Just ensure that the bottle says "bar and chain" oil

Want to change a maxtor 3200 from windows format to apple mac

When you plug the drive, once mounted on the mac, go to applications>utilities>disk utilities then select the drive and choose partition. If you want the drive to be bootable you should then choose Mac OS Extended (journaled).

Need to locate chain & bar oiler adjustment screw for mac 3200 chain saw

Look to the lower left side of the bar (as you hold the saw normally)--there should be a screw head in the engine case there. Check the adjustment by holding the bar tip at speed near a piece of cardboard for a couple of moments--it should throw off a thin line of oil. Hope this helps!

I am looking for a manual for a McCulloch 3200 chain saw.

Operators Manuals: are much more difficult. I have dialed this number many times (Contact Us - All McCulloch Products 1 (800) 521-8559) and have yet to get a satisfactory response. Please try this! If enough of us try they will fix it! If unsuccessful with McCulloch try here:
Beg for manuals thread (ArboristSite - free to join). Please use the search function first, it has probably been asked and answered.

I saw 3 requests for 3200 no replies. Tried Mac 3200 and McCulloch 3200, no hits. Post it. Good Luck. HTH

McCulloch International was fruitless too, Call them, please then post to ArboristSite is my best advice.
