Mitsubishi TV #WS 5531 hd 1080 upgradable - Screen started to flicker then would go black and tv would turn off. Turn TV back on, sometimes it would work fine, sometimes it would stay black. Sometimes it just turns itself off. Would stay blank for 20-30 minutes then work for days. Now it's just black. Help?

When was the lamp changed last? Is the set very dirty? If so...the lamp, filter, and fan may need cleaning. Lamp may be going out too. Usually they just 'burn out' then no good after that. Sets in cabinets will overheat if not sufficient room for airflow. Can you hear the fan?

When ever i try to play ps3 games on the mitsubishi hdtv 1080, the screen cuts to black with green hatchmarks. The PS3 home screen displays but as soon as i enter the game mode the screen goes black

Good day!

That is usually happens when the TV is not compatible to the PS3 because the graphics of the PS3 is very resolution.

The qualification standards of that TV is not reaching the higher resolution of PS3 even your TV is HDTV.

Thank you very much for using fixYa.

It say 480 stretch on the screen how do I turn it to 1080 for my Hd tv

Make it sure that you have a 1080 signal from your source(eg. HD receiver, bluray player etc.). Try pressing format button on the remote until you get full picture . Or try changing the format or aspect ration in your satellite or cable box.
