Battery power/and or lens motor/ if lucky the lense connection, (Try removing the lenses and puting them back) may be a bad electrical connection.
Usually its the battery mate
some batterys are not the correct type, to prove it i bought several packs of panasonic special power AA zinc carbon batterys, these seem to only work on certain things, dont ask me why but if i put them in my kodak z812 they do not work, if i put them in a torch the torch works ok, weird, duracell batterys work 100% ok, and most rechargeble ones

SOURCE: KODAK M863 LENS STUCK
my kodak m863 fell, and then the lens is stuck!do you think it can be repairable??
SOURCE: LENS DID NOT RETRACT PROPERLY
Sorry, but there is no safe DIY fix for your lens problem, and any attempts at homebrew repair will likely make the problem even worse. I suggest that you take it to a local camera shop (NOT the camera department at a chain store) or contact the customer service/support folks a Kodak.com to arrange repairs. Be sure to get a firm price before you commit to anything though. The fix can approach the cost of a new camera, and repairs typically only carry a 30-day warranty.
