My NEC Dterm Series E 16D-1 does not display the MUTE feature

I have looked up the mute feature in the user's guide which says to press the MUTE feature key to tutn on and off the Muting. My co-worker has the same model and his doesn't display the Mute feature either. Is something programmed to omit the display? How do I use the mute feature.
Thanks,
RIck

Can't turn the mute feature off. What do I press?

Feature, 1 to turn on. Feature, 1 to turn off.

Also, the speakerphone feature has to be allowed in system programming to use as speakerphone, otherwise only works when someone intercoms you, not on outside calls.

I am trying to change the name displayed on my nec i-series phone. How do i do this?

Assuming you are not an NEC trained Tech and your system is on a IPKII, You will best served by acquiring the IPKII Instalation manual and the Feature and services Manual.
This is not the kind of simple change that the average end user should attempt although I would agree that it is a feature that should have been made availiable to the average user because of occasional movement in
any office environment.

Nec dterm wont ring in

During an incoming call try holding the up arrow on the volume key. That is the only way I know to increase or decrease the volume of the ring. The phone might also be set on DND. in which case you have to Press feature dial the DND cancel code 69 press feature. If note look for you user guide here. http://www.neccare.com/cng/docs.nsf/Lib3?OpenView&Start=1&Count=100&Expand=6.13#6.13

Nec DTerm Series i - Feature Light Flashing URGENT

Thankfully I have found a solution that has worked.

A 'winking' (flashing) feature button indicates the station is in call forward - all calls mode.

To cancel this setting do the following

Lift the handset or press speaker
Dial the access code 4 + 2 (set as default)
Receive confirmation tone and restore handset or press speaker

I have found the manual at the following link to be the best resrouce ever - very easy to understand
