Once you remove your current Video card you may have to re-enable onboard video through your BIOS, if it was turned off in the first place. Usually it won't be turned off unless someone did it manually.

I have an hp pavilion a320n desktop and once turned on it boots through the bios and then stops leaving a cursor blinking in the top left corner

Have you tried your onboard diagnostics? Stop the boot process after your machine boots through the BIOS, with F12 (I believe) You want to get to the boot menu. There you should see diagnostics. Run that.

The other possibility is a bad hard drive. You can test it with the onboard diagnostics. The easiest way to do it is to get into your BIOS and have a look at your boot devices. Your hard drive should be the first device.

I have HP a320n PC. Max ram is 2gb I currently have 448mb of ram when I add two 1gb sticks the PC starts to reboot itself repeatedly, and starts to say there a problem and do I want to start in safe mode...

If you have 448MB of RAM, you started with 512MB of RAM, and the computer has "stolen" 64MB of RAM to use to interface with the video-card.

What happens when you remove the 512MB stick(s), and install just ONE 1Gbyte stick?
Does your computer work correctly, and show as 960Mbyte of available RAM?

It's possible that one of the RAM sticks is "bad". Test them in your computer, one at a time, rathre than both at the same time, to "isolate" the good/bad sticks.

My computer keeps booting over and over again even with everything disconnected and all the cards removed.

Your OS is at fault. Please re install windows. And to save your data you must install it in a folder other than c:\windows, ie, in c:\xp or something. Your data would be safe and can be searched for after the pc reboots.
