Black and decker chest freezer on frost in the upper half of the freezer, the other half going down to the bottom is just cold with no frost and also the top of the inner part of the door is making ice.

You may have a leak of refrigerant, you may have a warm air leak when the lid is closed, or you may just need to defrost it manually. use heat ONLY, do NOT poke at the ice or frost with anything

Frost free freezer with ice in the bottom and water dipping off bottom door hinge

Frost Free Freezer have an automatic defrost, which is essentially a heating element which melts any ice. If your door seals are in poor condition or something is preventing the door from sealing the ambient air may be melting the ice more than the drain can accommodate. Check the drain in the bottom of the freezer. Humidity can also cause more water to accumulate, especially if the door seals are not sealing.

Frost free freezer

Hi, It sounds like the defrost drain is plugged. UNPLUG the freezer. Remove the rear panel and you will be able to find the drain hole and remove the ice. Once you get the iceout of the drain. try and fluxh it with hot water (A baisting serigne works great). Sometines they plug up with duse from underneath. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
