Camera will not turn on. Battery fully charged;

SD750 worked fine, then just a month past warranty and camera will not turn on; nothing at all. Battery fully charged (tried 2); cleaned it, nothing. Canon wants just under $120 to fix. Any help would be great.

Hello,
You can give it to an expert for repair, he can repair it for less as there must be just a fuse problem, which can be fixed for a very less amount.

The camera will not turn on.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Turns on then off. I have bought a new battery. Still didn't work. Charged it for hours. Still nothing. Only 4 months old.

Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Here are the steps:
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera.
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Without the memory card, turn on your camera.
4. Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair w.4 months and no cust damage it is covered under the warranty.

SD750 not turning on

Did you reolaced battery that evening, if you did then try holding the battery door tight and the turn it on. If this will solve it it means that there is a play in battery door that happens very often if someone is not careful enough while replacing battery or merory card.

Ixus 75 battery discharges overnight even if the camera is turned off.

That's it, the battery's defective, it's not the camera...unless you've tried another (new) battery...

BATTERY dead. how to charge?

The battery is removable and the camera came with a charger that you connect the battery to and plug into a household socket.
