I have been given a Canon IXY 700 digital camera that is used. The problem is there is no manual. Where can I find instructions to operate it?

If you have the IXY 1000, you can download a manual here (the US version is the SD900). The battery is a Canon proprietary battery, and there is a recharger available from Canon to charge the battery, The specific charger you need will depend on where you live -- different countries have different standard voltages and connector plugs.

it is exactly the same camera only it's sold in the US :)
