Pro-form 450cx

If the battery + and - polarity are proper and the motor operates on DC current; it should work OK. The reason a motor fails is if the coils burn out, and that can happen if the polarity is reversed in error, alternating current was applied to a DC device, or a Power Surge damaged the components.

Motor error messege on E25 sole ellipticle

proceed according. God bless youDescriptionThis error monitors the treadmills power bit reading. Power bits indicate the relative time that themotor controller drive circuit is turned on. Therefore power bits is an indication of the amount ofpower the load is demanding from the motor controller. The treadmill software sets a maximumallowable power bit limit. Error 25 indicates that the maximum power bit limit is being exceeded.Possible Causes1. The running belt and/or running bed is badly worn.2. On treadmills utilizing an SCR motor controller, a leaky or shorted drive motor filter capacitorcould raise the current demand sufficiently to cause the error 25.3. On treadmills utilizing an SCR motor controller, a leaky or shorted drive motor inductor couldraise the current demand sufficiently to cause the error 25.4. A shorted or de-magnetized drive motor is causing the high power demand.Possible Remedies1. A clamp-on A.C. ammeter must be used to determine the amount of A.C input current beingdrawn by the treadmill under no load and loaded conditions. The current readings can beused to determine the condition of the running belt and/or running bed. These same readingsshould be taken on a similar unit with a known good running belt and running bed. Thosereadings can then be used as a benchmark for future use. Replace the running belt and/orrunning bed as required. Remember, many running beds are double sided and the bed canbe flipped over rather than being replaced.2. A clamp-on ammeter should be used to measure the A.C. input current at no load. The filtercapacitor should then be electrically isolated from the drive motor circuit. The drive motorleads must be kept intact so that the drive motor will operate with the filter capacitor removedfrom the circuit. The no load A.C. input current should be measured again, if the A.C. inputcurrent is significantly lower, replace the filter capacitor.3. Use the same procedure as in step 4 above, except remove and isolate the inductor from thedrive motor circuit instead of the filter capacitor.4. A known good drive motor must be substituted for the existing drive motor.

I have a herritage t101, it displays the Ls error and has no drive whatsoever but was working a few month back

The SCR lower board is designed with diagnostic LED lights. The LED's are color coded according to
their specific function. Green indicates a properly operating treadmill; the green lights should always
be ON when power is supplied to the treadmill. Yellow indicates a treadmill function. Red indicates a
treadmill malfunction. Here is a list of each LED and what it signifies:
MOTOR (yellow) - The MOTOR LED illuminates when dc (direct current) voltage is sent to the drive
motor. The LED gets brighter when the dc output is increased.
RLC (yellow) - The RLC (R = Reactance / L = Inductance / C = Capacitance) LED illuminates when
the filtering system is properly working. The filtering system includes the capacitor and filter choke. If
there is a short in either component then the RLC light will not come on.
DN & UP (yellow) - The DN and UP LED lights tell us if the elevation DN and UP relays are
functioning properly. When the LED lights, it tells us that the relay has energized and is sending high
voltage (110vac or 220vac) to the elevation motor.
AC PWR (green) - The AC PWR (Alternating Current Power) illuminates when AC line voltage is
delivered to the treadmill. It then passes through the in-line fuse (110)/s(220) and lights the AC PWR
LED.
+12V (green) - When the proper AC voltage is delivered to the treadmill, passes through the in-line
fuse/s, through the full wave bridge rectifier (changes AC to DC), through the transformer (steps down
DC to +12vdc) then the +12V LED lights.
This the board LED, who control the signal for Main Motor+Elevation Motor. You must see, the LED DN+ UP( both will be Lit) in any position down or Up.
2) The RELAY board is designed with diagnostic LED lights. The LED's are color coded according to
their specific function. Green indicates a properly operating treadmill; the green lights should always
be ON when power is supplied to the treadmill. Yellow indicates a treadmill function. Red indicates a
treadmill malfunction. Here is a list of each LED and what it signifies:
AC PWR (green) - The AC PWR (Alternating Current Power) illuminates when AC line voltage is
delivered to the treadmill. It then passes through the in-line fuse (110)/s(220) and lights the AC PWR
LED.
VDC (green) - The VDC LED will light when it receives DC voltage from the DC power supply.
DN & UP (yellow) - The DN and UP LED lights tell us if the elevation DN and UP relays are
functioning properly. When the LED lights, it tells us that the relay has energized and is sending high
voltage (110vac or 220vac) to the elevation motor.
UPSW (green) - This LED will illuminate when the low voltage dc is delivered from the upper display
board to the elevation UP relay. This low voltage dc is what energizes the coil of the relay.
DNSW (green) - This LED will illuminate when the low voltage dc is delivered from the upper display
board to the elevation DOWN relay. This low voltage dc is what energizes the coil of the relay.
BELTSW (green) - This LED will illuminate when the low voltage dc is delivered from the upper
display board to the belt (motor start) relay. This low voltage dc is what energizes the coil of the relay.
SPD (yellow) - The SPD LED flashes on and off (relative to speed) when the speed sensor is
operating properly.
PWM (yellow) - This LED will light when the upper board is sending a speed signal to the PWM.
Both the PWM LED and BELTSW LED must be lit for belt movement.
Finally this this Relay Board, the Each Led will be Lit, for any Relai control for DN down, or UP elevation motor. Use the contact cleaner, you can find it in R .Shack.

Precor 9.4 Treadmill Incline Problem. When incline is changed manually there is no problem. When it changes automatically during the preset programs there is an awful noise and I have to shut it off to...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIIxoPtvhy8

I bought a used Precor 9.4 treadmill, but the incline adjustment was not working.
So, I did the following.
1. Turn off, unplug the treadmill and wait for an hour (this is for safety
2. Remove the black motor cover
3. Observe the transformer to the right of the motor and towards the belt ( I point to it in the video)
This transformer converts DC electricity to AC electricity and the AC current goes directly to the Incline motor which is in the black box towards the front of the machine.
4. On mine the wires had come loose from the transformer, they were soldered on very poorly, the wires are stiff and you should be able to see 4 wires coming from the top of the circuit board and plugging into the transformer, I had three of the 4 wires loose.
5. If you are not comfortable working with electronics or soldering DO NOT DO THIS REPAIR, you could get shocked very badly if you just go poking around in there with metal objects, get a friend who knows how to solder or hire someone.

6. It took about 5 minutes I just heated up my $10 soldering gun from radio shack and soldered all the loose wires that were about a millimeter away from the tabs on the back of the transformer, and VOILA! The incline now works!

HP LASERJET 4 PRINTER

57 (or 57.1) SERVICE Message (Main Motor
Failure)
The 57 SERVICE indicates that the DC Controller PCA detected a
general motor failure. The Main Motor drives all moving
components in the printing process. The Main Motor is a 4-phase,
DC servo motor controlled by the DC Controller PCA.
The formatter detects a Main Motor failure when:
• The Main Motor does not come up to speed within one second
of receiving drive voltage.
• The Main Motor deviates from the correct speed for one second
after reaching the correct speed.
Main Motor Functional Checks
• Inspect the gear train for debris that would block the free
operation of the gears.
• Check the gears in the Toner Cartridge for wear and binding.
• Reseat J211 (or J214 on the HP LaserJet 4 Plus/4M Plus) on
the DC Controller PCA, and the main connector on the Main
