If you are getting a continuous red light with a single beep repeating or any beeping, try to hit the self check button if there is one. It's possible it can be the battery. If you do find out it is the battery, you can actually just order one, open the front panel, and replace it. If this information doesn't help, you can actually go to the manufacturer's website and download the manual or email the manufacturer and give him the beeping error.

Hi

If it is showing the red light and continuous beep it shows that the battery is completely gone.

You can buy a battery and replace it by yourself.

Or get it to a professional to change the battery.

you need not replace the whole UPS its just a battery problem.

Thank you

camille zar is absolutely right. but check the gravity level of battery-water before replacement. it might be low as far as required level.

ups with 300 watts can only back up 1 computer, though it can handle 2 computers but not too long. your ups battery life span are good only for 2 to 3 years. for battery replacement you can visit the nearest service center and ask for battery replacement. it will not cost you much.

You need to reset the unit to recognize the new battery, I had same problem with one apc smart ups on the bench the other day.

On ours we had to turn off the unit unplug the battery wait 5mins

press the on key and hold for 20secs

reconnect battery

plug in to mains

and start as normal. We did this but still had very low battery time and the flashing lights, so we disconnected the comms interface, that sovled the problem.

It may work for your unit, suggest you check the manual before you try if you are unsure

Hope this helps

Overload Red button is on even after pressing reset button @ back

Try unplugging some equipment from the UPS. The total load should be less than 865 W. Printers and scanners often are culprits. Some gaming desktop computers can have a power supply that will be too much for this UPS. (I've found that even having the printer on the surge only part of the UPS can be a problem. I have the printer on a separate surge protector.)

Since the overload is new, did you add any equipment to the UPS recently or upgrade components?

If you reduce the load, and the problem continues, the UPS may have a fault in the circuitry. If it is under warranty, contact APC.

I hope this helps.

(I have replaced APC units after 3+ years when they can't properly recharge the battery - with a new battery. The symptoms are 1) getting a overload when a small load is on the UPS. Small load - desk lamp, 13" TV or 2) not keeping the item on when the power goes off.)

In My APC UPS, continuous beep sound is coming with simultaneous Orange and Green lights are appearing

Unfortunately that signals an internal fault with the UPS and it requires immediate replacement / repair. Do not continue to use the UPS at all.

Strange noise comes out from the ups after a power cut

The Back-UPS Office unit has five different tones or alarms:

1. Four beeps every 30 seconds (On Battery LED will be illuminated)
This alarm indicates that the Battery Power Supplied outlets are now supplying battery power as opposed to power from the utility. If the UPS determines that the input utility power is unsafe for your computer equipment, the UPS will switch to battery power.
Note: If the power disturbance is brief, you may only hear one or two beeps.

Once the UPS transfers to On Battery operation, it can only stay on battery for a limited amount of time. The UPS will sound this alarm about two minutes before the batteries are totally exhausted. Once exhausted, the UPS will shutdown and turn off its output power to your equipment. If you hear this tone you should immediately shutdown your computer to prevent data loss or corruption.

This alarm indicates the unit has detected an Overload condition after it has performed a self-test during start-up.

4. Continuous Two-Tone Beep
This alarm indicates a severe Overload was detected while the unit was on-battery operation. This tone will continue to sound until the unit shuts down.

5. Continuous Tone (On Battery LED will be flashing)
This alarm indicates that the battery-powered outlets are overloaded.

6. Continuous Tone (On Line and On Battery LEDs flashing) Back UPS OFFICE 350, 400, and 500 ONLY
This alarm indicates that an internal UPS fault has occurred.

My computer won't boot and the CyberPower 825 AVR makes a continuous sound.

It sounds as though the UPS is not receiving power. Check that it's cable is properly plugged into the wall. Also verify that it's internal ground fault interrupter has not tripped, it's usually a little red button on the back of the unit, it should be pressed in and should stay that way, if it pops out then there is a problem with the ground of your electrical outlet. Also check that the breaker for that electrical has not tripped at your fuse box.

Since the UPS is not receiving power the batteries have discharged and that is why your computer cannot start, there is not enough juice from the UPS to boot it. That is also why it is making a noise as most UPS's sound an alarm to indicate that they are not connected to power.

There is a chance that the batteries in your UPS have gone bad or that something has become faulty in your UPS. Try plugging your computer and monitor directly to the wall bypassing the UPS to see if they work fine.
