You need to delete all the music from your ipod, when it tells you to sync music un-tick the box and then click on something else, it will delete all the music from your ipod and then sync the music again. Make sure in your playlists you dont have the same song twice and it is ticked then that means it will be a duplicated song.

Did you move the folder that contains all of your music files? If so, just clear your library and readd the folders from their current location.
If you are trying to sync the iPod with more than one device, it won't find your music and will likely erase the songs on your iPod.

Delete Duplicates Songs on iTunes, Repair Music Info on Mac

If your iTunes application on Mac have updated to Version 11+, you can use the method Apple supported to show all duplicate items in your iTunes library. From the menu at the top of your computer screen, choose View > Show Duplicate Items. And then manually delete unwanted ones. Or if you are a Windows user, Hold down the Control and B keys on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar. Choose View > Show Duplicate Items.

Matches are based on the song name and artist. If you have multiple versions of the same song (for example, live and studio versions, or versions from different albums), hold the Alt or Option key (Mac) or the Shift key (Windows) and choose View > Show Exact Duplicate Items. This will show only the duplicate songs that have the same name, artist, and album. The information in the other columns, such as Time, Release Date, or Genre, can also help you determine which item to keep and which to remove. For example, the Plays column shows which version of the song you've listened to more.

I cannot transfer music from my itunes player to my sony walkman nwz-e453 as I have got an appcrash message. what do I do?

Hi Brian
***How to transfer music to an iPod to a Windows computer***

Step 1: Connect your iPod and launch iTunes.
In the iPod management screen, scroll down to Options and check "Enable disk use."
iTunes will give you a warning--select OK.
Note: If you get an error message asking you to reformat upon connecting, your iPod was originally formatted for Mac
and cannot be used in Windows.
One workaround is to install a program like MacDrive, which will allow your Windows machine to read Mac-formatted drives.
Clicking "reformat" will erase your iPod.
Step 2: Now open My Computer and open your iPod drive.
Step 3: Open Tools > Folder Options. Click the View tab and check "Show hidden files and folders."
Step 4: Now in your iPod folder, open iPod_Controls > Music. Highlight all of the folders and drag them into the desired
folder on your hard drive.
This might take a while, depending on how much music you're transferring.
Step 5: Highlight all of the folders again, right-click, and select Properties. Uncheck "Hidden." Close this window.
Once the files are copied, you've successfully transferred the music.
However, you'll notice that the songs have four-letter names and are scattered among many folders.
It's OK. Once you import the music into iTunes (or any other media player), the program will reinstate the titles of the
songs.
