Burning youtube videos to dvd without errors

Use a burning software like Nero. It is great and shall provide you the facility of easily burning as many videos as your disc can hold.

Also, if you are on windows, after downloading the videos, insert a DVD in your Burner and then simply copy paste the videos on the DVD disc. Paste as many you want to i.e. as many allowed with in the space of disc and then right click anywhere on an empty area and select BURN DISC.

Install asus crw 5224a in ubuntu

I think that you have an internal unit not an external one like pictured.

Just hook it up like normal and try booting your system with an Ubuntu Live Cd in your drive. It should just work.

Ok... maybe you'll have to explore your BIOS to find how to let the system boot from a CD, but that's usually a bit of quick trial and error.

Good luck.

CD-RW Station can't read disks anymore

The easiest thing to do is to update the firmware on the drive. If that doesn't work, check to see if the drive is getting adequate power, which can be caused by new hardware being installed that is taking up more power than the power box can give.
Clean the plugs and ribbon leading to the computer with a quick burst of compressed air.
If that still doesn't work, the laser may be mis-alligned, or borken, and is much easier to replace the whole drive. (CD-RW burners are insane cheap with DVD-RW burner drives being out for a long time, and Blu-Ray burners just around the corner)

Factory default disc on acer 4520G

Hello,

If you have Nero of Power ISO installed you can right click the .iso file and there should be a command in the shortcut menu that states "burn with Nero" or burn iso with Power ISO, etc. this should apply to other disc burning software you have installed.

As you may know, .iso files are a compressed disc image file that contains the data layout for a complete CD or DVD. Most of the time, burning an iso image from first opening your disc burning software is more difficult but can be done by hunting through your software's menu commands.

Hope this has fixed ya!

It wont read any disc, and wont burn any disc

Numerous possibilities:

Lens cannot focus... Haze on lens. Needs to be cleaned.

Unfortunately my experience is that the power supply to the laser section is running on the low side and the unit needs technical repair. I'd be interested in learning if anyone else has suggestions that have worked for them.

I have a problem

Take the cover of your computer off again and check all the cables again. Check the cables going to the hard drive. Make sure there is no disk in the drive. If you have a floppy disk drive, make sure there is no disk in it. Make sure the jumper is set properly on the back of the cd-rom drive. The jumper should set to 'slave' or 'cd'. In some cases the jumper should be off. Let me know if this helps.

Problem copying a movie onto a lightscribe hp dvd +r media disc, using my hp dvd940e dvd writer

The semaphore timeout period has expired refers to the fact that the driver is no longer communicating with the device and failed. Each time a CD Burner is setup for a CD Burning session the burner hardware will perform a 15 step power test to determine the OPC for a Blank Media Disc, OPC meaning Optimum Power Calibration. This test also takes place during the CD Burning process so the CD Burner can determine the best burn speed and method for the disc; this test is called 'Running Optimum Power Calibration'. Although the test is performed by the hardware of the CD Burner, the device initializes the CD Burning Software for the test to take place. This is one reason why your software may report the "Power Calibration Error" or ?Calibration Error Full?. With Power Calibration errors they can be caused by different factors and sometimes difficult to locate, especially if the errors are at random. Below are the known factors that will cause the Power Calibration Errors and how to check each factor, it is important that each point is considered if wanting to get to the bottom of the error. Power Calibration Errors can occur when OPC or ROPC tests for the media disc so the condition of the disc, brand of disc and even the firmware for the CD Burner can be the cause for the errors occurring. A device such as a CD Burners can have different problems if there is a power consumption issue with the system and the Power Calibration Error is just one of those problems. If using either an internal or external CD Burner make sure to disconnect all other devices, except the hard drive and Burner, before attempting to burn a disc. Double check all cables for any faults and if possible test with a 2nd Data Cable. It is also advisable to disconnect the power connection for the CD Burner and test with a spare connector. If you have no trouble with other discs, use them and put to one side the lightscribe, other than that try the burner in another pc or with other burning software, as you can see it's quite ridiculous what problems burners can create.
