Not true, Apple will be happy to repair any current machine they have parts for, APPLECARE is your warranty, and if your machine is covered, the repair will be free of charge. If you don't have Apple care, you will be responsible for paying for parts and labor.

Macbook pro usb short circuit

Take the phone, computer, and cable to the Genius Bar in your closest Apple Store and ask them to look at it. This is hard to diagnose through text; they will be much better equipped to help you.

I have an apple macbook pro that steve jobs told me its very good but when I opened it, it is made in taiwan with surplus parts labelled msi neo cdr-king and not intel core but atom chip

I assume you did not purchase this MacBook Pro directly from Apple. When buying any electronics, it's always smart to buy from known sources (such as Apple.com) and to carefully check authenticity of the product.
If I were you, I would ask the seller for a return as the product is clearly not as described.

How can I hook up MacBook Pro with Optoma 1690 Projector? Am I supposed to hit a certain function key to get Projector to see MacBook

You may need a certain connection (MiniDisplay Port to DVI, or MiniDisplay Port to VGA). If you're connecting to an HDMI-compatible projector, you'll need an adapter. You'll also need an adapter if connecting your MDP (MiniDisplay Port) to a DVI or VGA port. Here are some helpful links:

#2 MDP to HDMI Adapter (RadioShack)
#3 MDP to VGA Adapter (Apple Store)
#4 MDP to DVI Adapter (Apple Store)

Cannot write cd/dvds.

The Super Drive needs to be replaced. This error cannot be fixed with software.
If it's still under warranty simply take to an Apple Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact Apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) or contact an Apple Expert at http://www.apple.com/support/expert/

Reconfigure a macbook pro to install a larger hard drive

I would suggest going to an Apple store and asking the folks at the genius bar. I'm not sure if you want to try and reconfigure your motherboard by yourself.
