I have a bose companion 2 speaker set. I plugged in an AUX from my headphones & it broke now the tip of the cable is stuck inside the speaker The speakers detect headphones so they wont play music

yes thats the fact when you plug a headphone into any speakers the head phone will be the only one to function the speaker stops thta the circuit technically which will break the connection of power to speaker if you plug head phone

you have to configure your sound at control panel; you have to switch from computer speakers to external, with or without a woofer. Easy shreazy.

Are these PC speakers? OF so you need a stereo RCA to min-jack cable, assuming the TV has a set of RCA audio outputs.

from what I've read, the imac has a 3.5mm (.138) jack while the Bose jack is 1/8 (.125). very small difference in size (.013), but enough to cause problems.
