Hi, When I pick up my phone to make a call, there are three beeps. Can you please let me know how to fix it?

Many of the telephones have a built in answering machine. The beeps are to let you know you have a message you have not picked up yet. This to help you not miss messages. Check your owners manual to see if you can turn off or mute the message warning tone.

ok i bought three net 10 phones because you are the only service that really picks up where i live. however when i called yesterday to activate the phone the person on the other line was saying my zip code will not have access. however when i try to explain this to him he just kept saying. my husband has net 10 so does my daught. can you please fix this

As far as I know this error has something to do with the database being corrupt. You need to rebuild the database.
To do this you need to turn off the PS3 so you see the red light. Flick the switch on the back off then on, then hold down the start button untill you hear three beeps then let go. Do the same again and the third beep will be followed by another one straight after the third.
On the screen there should be some options to choose from. Pick number four (rebuild database) this should fix the problem.
Also make sure that the PS3 is fully up to date by checking for any updates.
If the problem persists then I would advise you to contact Sony.

Just had this problem with our HTT 800. Discovered it was the curled phone-like cord attached to the remote that had been chewed through by one of our dogs. Some electric tape fixed it right up. Still looking for a replacement. Anyone know where I can find one? A standard-size phone cord does not work with this, as it is too large.

It is your phone answering machine that must pick up in three rings or less.

Therefore 4 is too much. I would not limit number for fax machine itself.

On receipt of fax sometimes seems like it will not work when answering machine picks up in the middle. However, leave it and it will work. Sometimes sender will hear your answering machine and cancel as well. So try to ensure they don't give up at other end as well.

Hi nexy - the best I can do for now is a couple things snd nothing definitive. Usually when a cell is off it takes 2 to 3 three rings before it goes to voice mail. When its' on about 5 to 6. There's a real good chance these are at the discretion of your service provider. That's my best bet. I've included a link to your manual in case you don't have yours. Look at page 50 (i think) and it tells about voice mail settings. You can go in there and take a look but don't get your hopes up. If this answered your question PLEASE rate as fixed. Here is the fix for that problem...

1st click the set button on the bottom left of the keypad. Press the "up" button (located to the right of the the keypad) until you get to option number 7 IPP. Click the set button again (so you can change the settings for that option) and press the down button to turn off the option. Click the set button one more time and finally press the delete button to get out of your settings mode. No More beep, beep, beep......

If you have more than one phone line which I assume that you do -if one party has not completely hung up the handset after putting someone on hold when you pick it up on your end you will hear that beeping noise that you are talking about. Have them pick back up the line while you are on it and replace the handset again on thier phone to disconnect completely.
