Apparently, the model you're looking for has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Not sure of the reason why, but we've had a lot of problems posted here on FixYa regarding them. However, there are other models available, by a different manufacturer, that are very similar to the Clairion HC-1500. And they are not expensive. Good deals abound on Ebay. Search for one there under Convection Heaters (All Ebay Categories) www.ebay.com

The first thing to do, is to clean the air filter, and remove the plug, and clean with a wire brush, if neccesary.
You should also bear in mind, that the timing may well, be in need of retarding, ever so slightly.
If problem still persists, you known where we are.

Replace the fuel cap.

check for a tripped overload. reset or replace it.

Check the fuses in the fuse block under the hood. Your clock fuse and radio constant power fuse are combined in this vehicle.
