Any way to access on-screen menu on Sharp 13F-M50 without remote

My 13F-M50 Sharp TV is stuck on AIR, so I can't get all the channels available to me via my cable. I need to access the on-screen menu and change it to "CABLE" and then reprogram the channels...

Problem is I don't have the original remote control for the tv. It's been missing for quite some time. I think it grew legs and walked off somewhere.

Any way to access/navigate the menu using just the tv's buttons to get this done???

( Or anyone know where I could get another original remote for this thing? )

Try ebay with the model number; I had the same thing with a sharp set I own---only way to access the menu and do things is with an original remote--if this was helpful please vote for me.

U must use universal remote like Chunghop, the code of sharp i think is 036 (programmable). That brand will cost almost $2.( Philippine price) you can access anything like the original remote control. If not available in your place try other brand but some of the UR, the menu is not functional, only the volume and channel buttons. That helps? need thumbs up!...

How do I tune my teac led/lcd digital tv model no:le32a321 without a remote

Here are some steps to tune a Teac LED/LCD digital TV without a remote:
  1. Find the TV's on-screen menu buttons on the TV itself (often located on the side or bottom of the TV)
  2. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the channel setup or tuning menu
  3. Select "Auto Tuning" or "Channel Scan" and follow the on-screen instructions to scan for available channels
  4. If the TV has manual tuning option, select it and input the frequency, symbol rate, and other information for each channel you want to add manually.
  5. Once the tuning process is complete, the TV should display all the available channels. If you are unable to access the menu without a remote, consider using a universal remote that is compatible with your TV or obtaining a replacement remote from the manufacturer.

Can't change the channels aquos tv i need to change the channel to 4 have no remont

Press the "Menu" button on the front of your Sharp TV. This will allow you to access the menu for your television without a remote. When the menu appears on screen, use the "Channel" buttons to move up and down, the "Volume" buttons to move left and right and the "Input" buttons to select items.

I have a Sharp TV model LC-32SB24U. I cannot access the menu screen because I lost the remote control. Is there another way I can change channels without a remote?

The Sharp LC-32SB24U has menu, input, volume up/down and channel up/down buttons on the top of the TV. When you access the Menu using the buttons on the TV, the Input button is the same as the Enter key. The volume up/down buttons map to the left and right arrows. The channel up/down buttons remain up and down. The Menu button is the closest to the power button (on the right). The volume buttons are the ones on the left.

Make sure that the input is set to TV to change channels. Then you need to program the available channels, access the Menu and navigate to Setup (left/right arrows). Press Input to enter this sub-menu. Then use the Up/Down arrows to select CH Setup. Press Input again to enter. Now you can set the channel source and let the TV scan for channels that have a strong enough OTA signal or are unencrypted cable channels. These are the top two options in the Channel Setup menu. The details are available in the manual which is available here: http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/Sharp_LC37SB24U_LC32SB24U_Manual.pdf . For OTA channels, you may need to check the signal strength under the Antenna Setup - Digital option in this Setup menu. OTA Digital signals will not be tuned in if the signal strength is low. It's an all-or-none tuning; amplifiers and external antennas may help. See tvfool.com for details of transmitters and the recommended antenna for your area. (Warning: damaged amplifiers can become filters and block the signal on some channels. Replace the amplifier if it is damaged.)

If you look to replace your original remote with a universal remote, you'll need one that was programmed more than 6 months after the TV was released. That may be 12/2005 based on the manual copyright date. Look for a remote that has a Menu and Input or Source button and check all of the codes to find one that matches all of the features on your original remote. Amazon has an OEM remote for the LC-32SB24U; remotes.com also has a replacement remote available that has been programmed for the TV. (On remotes.com, search for the LC32SB24U.)

I hope this helps.

How do I access the menu without a remote?

You don't. A good "universal remote" available from Radio Shack (Phillips) for about $15 will provide access to all TV adjustments. Easy to program for all TV models, VCR's, DVD players, etc. About $35 + S&H for the Sharp remote replacement.

No Remote - Need to access Menu

We had the same problem - this worked for us:

1. Unplug TV
2. Press Channel up and Volume up at same time, while plugging TV back in (two person job - it will pull up a service screen)
3. Press Channel up and Chanel down at same time. (Access to menu screen)
4. Use Volume up and Volume down to switch between menu options. We finally found the EZ set up screen.

Somehow in the process we muted the TV and are now working on getting the sound back. :)
Good luck to you!
