My whirlpool oven is displaying E6 and F2. It beeps every few hours. I have been able to bake in it just fine, but would like to know what the error codes mean and how to resolve the issues they represent.
An E6 F2 error code on these parts has always been due to the control board. These controllers can be repaired quickly and reliably at www.fixyourboard.com If buttons are not working or you get an F2-E0 or F2-E1 then it is the keypad
Your cancel key is defective at this point. follow these steps below?
1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control
board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad
(also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad
in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also
called ERC or clock).
When ever you get an error code, try first resetting the code:
1. Disconnect power for about two minutes.
2. Connect back power.
3. If code re-appears, test and eventually replace faulty part.
It seems that your control boars is not working as it should be.
Either buy a new control board online or get it repaired. I would suggest www.partsimple.com/ as they have the lowest price for replacement parts as well for repair service compare to other online vendors.

Hi
F2-E6 Error indicates
a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door
appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should
be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
