Computer doesn't seem to recognise LG KU990i via usb

Connect it to a PC via USB cable. Make sure the phone is in USB mass storage mode. Memory card should show up in My Computer. Photos are stored in the Pictures folder.

sir please install the lg pcsuit to the computer.then connect the datacable from phone to the computer and transfer the files. check the phonememory and the memorycard memory to get the space free............

you may convert first your itunes music before you try to put it in your LG.you can search on google what the best music converter to use.

Ok first you would like to connect your phone to your computer via the usb cable that came with the device, next on your phone go to menu>tools>more>mass storage>connect to pc. Then on you computer go to My Computer or Computer (depending if you have xp or vista). Then select the new mass storage drive that appears, it should say temp drive or flash drive then a letter for example; Temp Drive: F .. once you double click inside this drive select the music folder if you dont see it right away click inside the DCIM folder and you should see it in there... Then once inside the MUSIC folder just copy and paste the songs from your computer onto this folder and then you should be able to play them on your phone.

It took me a while:

go to Tools (bottom centre)
scroll to #8 -- USB Mass memory device
Plug in the "official" cable
Ignore the computer's complaint that it can't find the software
Press OK on the #8 "connect" option
Your phone screen will go blank shortly

Give the computer a moment and it will tell you it's found a new memory device and will show you the contacts. You can copy to and from the memory card -- pictures will be in my_pictures, etc.

When you're finished, press OK to disconnect the phone -- then unplug the cable.

hi sue i have solved this problem. to view pictures, videos and music on your pc, you would have to have a microSD card and the microSD adaptor. you save all of your images, music and videos onto the microSD, then you insert the SDcard into its adaptor then into the pc. Then your files should popup!

Instead of loading the music manager, click on file in the LG Suite box, and then click 'content'. This will connect without a problem (at least it did for me, despite music manager not working), and then drag and drop music from your pc files, onto your phone. Hope this helps.

I have posted information in 'hints and tips' regarding media files (pictures mp3s etc).  The first thing to remember when sending files to your phone is that they have to be done one at a time as the phone memory is limited.  The phone has a memory card inside it which is extra/external to the phone memory.  What is confusing is that you cannot send files directly to this memory card so each file you send to the phone has to be moved to the 'external memory' before you send another to the phone.
