I have warning Alert : Paper out on Zebra Model S4M

Calibrate the media sensors by power cycling the printer.

If that does not fix the issue you can adjust the sensors using the following procedure.

In the menu go to advanced setup 3 and enter password (default 1234)
Select MEDIA/RIBBON CALIBRATE
Follow onscreen prompts

If this does not fix the issue you may have a bad media sensor.

or Main board (I'd recommend getting a part number from the main logic board and ordering by that number as there are a number of different main logics for that printer that are not interchangeable.)

Zebra 110Xilll Plus Printer Not Recognizing Media

You can run the manual calibration from the menu , just follow the directions. Also run the sensor profile to print out the digital representation of the media sensor .If you are using standard label stock this should tell you if the transmissive sensor is good. Depends on the media, follow the users manual if different media requirements.

An extra, blank label prints from a Zebra 2746e.

Check media settings in the printer driver. Check version of printer driver. Zebra printersuse an internal printer driver with their Zebra Designer software (Zdesigner driver) or a ZUD (Zebra Universal Driver) for other windows applications. These drivers can be downloaded directly from the zebra website.

Alternatively you can download the seagull scientific driver and use that instead. (used with bartender program)

Label skipping occurs if the media dimensions are not specified correctly. The important ones are label height, and media setting for type of media.

Perform a media calibration before you go changing settings. Power on printer, Hold top and bottom buttons in on control panel for 5 seconds, release bottom button only then when printer starts feeding labels release top button. When printer finishes press feed button.
