5320 IP Phone displays "Use Hold Key to send Pin."?

I plugged the phone in to system and it displays this.

If you're running on a hosted PBX, the expansion module will not work. It only works on premis based systems.

SOURCE: How to configure Avaya's IP Phone 5610?

Ensure the reachability of the call server from that port. To ensure the same, configure a laptop with the IP address and default gateway of the intended IP phone. Then try pinging the call server from the laptop.

If this works then the setting should work for IP phone too. Double check on the router IP address and Vlan ID configured on the phone.

Get a new 46xxsettings.txt file from the avaya website and replace the one in your directory.

My Phone has the message; USE Hold key TO SEND PIN. What does that mean?

In system options you will see a registration code enter that code and then the ext number of the phone then hit hold. This will register you phone. You will need to have a ext programmed in users and devices.

How do i set up voicemail on mitel 5320

Mashing that envelope button doesn't always work. It doesn't work on ours. Instead, pick up the phone and dial 1000. Then it says your extension. Then you type in your passcode/pin and then the voice prompts start. If you are at another desk, dial 1000, it says the extension you are at, then press star key, then press YOUR extension number followed by the star key, then type in your pin/passcode and the voice prompts start.

What is the superkey?

It is the blue key on right side - about 1.5 inches below the volume control button. On my phone I use ###xxxx and press Superkey to send my PIN. xxxx is my 4 digit extension. Note sometimes your system will use ***xxxx to send Pin, you have to know which is appropriate for your system.

What is the superkey?

It is the blue button above the red button.

Your system will basically have an extension setup to the phone. For the 2 to talk to each other you will need to send the pin.

Our setup is ***extention number. Then hit superkey. Yes you need the 3 stars.

But your system maybe configured differently.

My cisco ip phone 7960 is stuck in boot up mode after performing the soft reboot. i press 123456789*0#

You can try a couple of things: Unplug the power cable from the phone, hold dows the # key, and then plug the power cable in again. The phone begins its power up cycle. Release the # key after the Speaker button is no longer lit. You should see the following message on the phone: "Reset key sequence detected" Press 123456789*0# within 60 seconds after the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash. If you enter this key sequence correctly, the phone displays this prompt: Keep network cfg? 1 = yes 2 = no In order to maintain the current network configuration settings for the phone when the phone resets, press 1. In order to reset the network configuration settings when the phone resets, press 2.
