Husqvarna chainsaw Piston ring end
SOURCE: husqvarna 141 piston ring, what is the required
It's been a few years but I've installed piston rings in many small engines. Many rings are beveled or rounded on the top outside to prevent excessive cylinder wear or scaring the cylinder wall. The bevel should be very slight and very hard so see. Some may have a small dot or marking cast into the ring near the end/split. If that is the case the ring should be installed with the marking turned toward the cylinderhead. Hint, lube the piston, rings, and cylinderwall before installing the piston. Gene

The piston ring whilst the piston is still in the pot should be relitivly tight. This is because it creates the seal to maintain compression. When the ring is taken off the piston it only has about 4mm gap between the two ends, any more than this it's probaby knackered. worth checking pot and piston for scoring around the exhaust outlet as if it's going to loose compression it will be at this point. If all these are fine check the decompression valve (if you model has one) if this is broken your compression will be ruined.
SOURCE: do you hawe parts for a husqvarna 254 piston end
The pisto is readily available from any Husqvarna dealer, the part no. is 503503701, there are also plenty of pirate parts available on the web
SOURCE: How do I know if
The 50 had a 44mm piston, all 50 specials and 51s had a 45 mm piston, as a cylinder and piston both will fit the crankcase, the stroke was the same on both.
SOURCE: can I take piston and rings out of a 41 husqvarna and put it in. a husqvarna 350 chainsaw
No. The 41 uses a 40 mm piston and the 350 uses a 44mm piston.
