If your dishwasher has no power and it’s NOT coming from the breaker panel be sure the switch on the wall that controls the dishwasher is flipped on. This can get turned off accidentally and go unoticed all the time.

I DON'T KNOW. PLEASE CHECK FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR WASHER. IF OK, MOVE BREAKER TO OFF AND ON A FEW TIMES. LOOK TO SEE IF YOUR WASHER CONNECTION IS A 110V PLUG THAT IT IS
FIRMLY PLUGGED IN. THE DOOR SWITCH MAY BE LOOSE OR HAS FAILED. IF POSSIBLE LEAN ON THE
DOOR WHEN CLOSED TO SEE IF PANEL COMES ON.

SOURCE: Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher,

Our control panel is fine. For now. (The machine is only 3 months old). This is our problem--and I haven't yet seen this complaint at all over the internt: The lower wash arm is getting stuck on the bottom rack and stopping immediately. This seems to be a design flaw. The bottom rack is just built too low. A service man was out once. He tightened the wash arm. Didn't work. The service department at the dealership is now ignoring our subsequent calls!! So I wonder if the "not cleaning" problem you have is because of this.

SOURCE: Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher, dishes come out dirty

A water softner will not make the dishes any cleaner, it just makes it so they don't have water spots on them.
If the dishes are dirty, it is most likely that the nozzles (holes) in arms may be plugged.
Also check to make sure you are getting plenty of water to dishwasher. Make sure all water valves are full turned open.

If the control panel does not work all the time, it is very likely you have either a shorted wire, or a fualty main board which is very common in newer machines.

SOURCE: How do I get to the control panel on a Maytag washer?

First, does the machine stop filling if you pull the plug? If not, he is wrong and you need the fill valve. The piece the hoses go into. If it does stop when plug pulled then he is likely correct.

Pull machine away from the wall. Disconnect power. The control panel has two plastic end caps. The rear edge of each end cap will show a hole which has a partially covered Phillips head screw in it. Put a screwdriver in and remove the screw in each end cap.

Move to the front of the washer. Grasp each end cap and pull straight toward you about 1/4 " to 1/2 " then lift. The control panel should disengage from the top of the machine. The top of the control panel stays attached to the back plate of the washer. Rotate the front of the control up. This will expose all parts in the control panel.

Look for a 1/4" clear hose coming from inside the machine to one of the switches. This small hose can become detached from the switch and not send the "full" signal to shut the water off. It may also develop a small air leak which prevents the signal. If the hose is detached...reattaching and adding a hose clamp will prevent future detachment. if not detached, the pressure (level) switch itself is likely the problem.

Reverse the above process to reattach the control panel. If the machine is full spin to empty before testing your repair to remove water from tube. Good Luck.

Washer does not respond to control

Hello Walt;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Maytag makes a good unit. Please give me more information. Is it a clothes washer or a dish washer?

Please provide the model number so I can see what you have.
These numbers are on the machines, usually after you open the door you will see a name plate.

1.) Do you have power? Does the control panel light up?

2.) There are several reasons your unit may not respond to the control.
a.) A faulty door lock switch will lock out your control.
b.) Both clothes and dish washers have thermal fuses. These too will lock out your control.

Once again send me your model number and more detail & I will help you.

Control panel won't function

This could be a Control Board failure. I would try to recycle 120VAC power to the washer. Leave it off of about 20 minutes then re-power up. If that doesn?t clear the issue then I believe your Control Board has failed. Do you have surge protection at the washer 120VAC outlet? Have you had any recent lighting storm activity? The Service Manual can be found on this site. The Control Board is under warranty for 5 yrs from date of purchase.

Maytag stacked washer/dryer Model LS7804

OK it may be one of 2 things. I would check the lid switch first. On some maytags the have a lid switch that if it is not working properly it will not let the washer fill. If it will not fill the washer will not wash because the pressure switch did not activate the timer to wash. If the switch checks good you might have a bad timer. If you open the control panel you will find a tech sheet with the wiring diagram. I would follow the fill cycle and check the components. You might also check the water valve to make sure its ok too. But its very rear that both the hot and cold would go at the same time. Good luck!

Dishwasher Heating element not working

rclay How old is your dish washer? It has up to five years limited (parts only) warranty on the electronic control. If it is within this period of time, then you can call Maytag and they will send you a new part. If you are not sure how old is it, you can find it with Maytag by the model and the serial numbers (on the door frame). The warranty for your dish washer you can get here: http://www.maytag.com/cust_serv/pdf_use_care_manual/6_915728.pdf Gendos...post back
