Monitor turned off and now will not restart (Power light flashing rapidly)

I just purchased an LG L204WT. It worked perfectly for a few weeks. After about 2-3 weeks, it bagan to turn off after about 10-15 minutes of use. When the screen turned off, the power light goes to a rapid flash. After the first few times it could be "fix" by unplugging the power. The "fix" only allowed it to remain on for a few minutes before shutting down again. It now will not power on and the power light contines to flash rapidly.

I have the Same LG L204WT monitor .. similar issue - it was working then midway through it seemd to power down. The blue LED power indicator flashes about once every 3 seconds. No matter what I do I can't:

Power it off using the buttons- only disconnecting Power at Mains works .. When power reconnected monitor is in "on mode" with that little Blue Power LED blinking away at me.

I have the same issue but my blinking just started. I tried turning the power off bu that didn't work for me .. i had to allow for it to wait for it to get itself back together and pop up a screen saying cable was not attacked and this time i hooked up analog cable and it seems to work. but i didn't spend good money for an analog lcd monitor. i CANT turn my monitor off cause if i do it goes back into that cycle of blinking light.

My monitor (LG L204WT-SF) goes black with the blue power light blinking. Power down is not possible other than removing the powe cable. I have had my monitor swapped twice allready by LG, but the problem remains.

If your LG L204WT will not power up all of a sudden, or takes long to power up, or dies after a while and it has not been exposed to lightning damage then in all likelihood the Electrolytic capacitors in its power supply has started to fail.
Unplug the unit from mains. To open it up, remove the 4 philips screws at the back. Then starting at the bottom corner use a small flat screw driver to wedge the front bezel loose. After removing the bezel the rear casing will also come off the panel. The circuitry case is taped to the panel with silver tape. Loosen the tape, lift the power supply. Carefully unplug the two sets of backlight cables, and the front panel controls to completely remove the circuitry case. Now remove the 4 screws holding the power board and then replace the following capacitors:
You can order caps from most electronic component stores.
You will need to replace:
C105: Electrolytic Cap, 47uF 50V 105 degrees C
C106: Electrolytic Cap, 1uF 50V 105 degrees C
C202,C206: Electrolytic Cap, 680uF 25V 105 degrees C
C203,C204, C205: Electrolytic Cap, 1000uF 25V 105 degrees C
You can always use a HIGHER voltage and a slightly HIGHER uF, and HIGHER temp rating but never lower.
Make 100% sure to observe the polarity when replacing the caps. Electrolytic caps have a clear negative marking stripe on the side coinciding with a black mark on the board.

Sounds like it is defective or was shocked. See if you can swap it out or contact the manufacturer about repair under the warranty on it.

Hope this helps!

Dell Inspiron 1721 will not power on,light on power supply flashes rapidly.

First, try and take out the battery and start the computer with just the power adapter. If the power adapter is still blinking, replace the power adapter. If the computer turns on with just the power adapter, replace the battery.

If the battery status light rapidly flashes amber, the battery may be defective. Purchase a replacement battery from Dell.

Monitor won't turn on after power interruption

First check all your (computer) connections especially the monitor. If connections are secure, it may just be an application or registry problem. Uninstall the LG monitor software, then reinstall it. If you're referring to getting into the computer case, locate the "thumb screws" at the rear of the case (may be one top and one bottom) loosen screws then slice side panel from case.
To keep your system running lean, clean, and smooth, install Piriform CCleaner, a free app for home users. It's excellent!

Monitor restarting randomly

Rarely does a monitor go out due to drivers. Try another monitor and verify that it isn't the computer (it isn't). If the power light goes out it is the power supply (usually inside) the monitor. If the light stays on, it will most likely be the backlight power unit. Browse the internet for the model and parts. Newer units are difficult to find.

Monitor won't turn on

I'm assuming you mean that you've tested the computer using another monitor and that the desktop proved to be working fine. If that's the case then the monitor needs to see a reputable repair person for repair.

Lg flatron w2234s monitor is flashing ??

I am going to suggest if it's only 3 months old you should take it back to where you bought it. Mine quit working right a few weeks after I bought it and they gave me a new one. Be sure you take your receipt with you. Even new things can mess up.
