My boys have used the handle bars of my Fisher Price Smart Cycle as a seat for some time now and I think they've broken them a bit as the handle bar flips back and forth. Is there any way to fix it?

As we can not fully see the damage my best bet would be to take it to a local "Mens Shed" where I'm sure they can fix it for you.

SOURCE: smart cycle pedal??

We had the same problem with the right pedal continually falling off. I purchased some "J.B. Weld" from Ace Hardware, applied it to the stud on the pedal, re-tightened it back on the sprocket arm and let it set 24 hours. This was over a month ago and it has not come off or loose. It gets peddled pretty furiously at times and still holds. The cost of the J.B. Weld which is in two small tubes, mixed together and applied is less than $7.00. I am once again my Grand-daughters hero....

SOURCE: I'd like to disassemble my Fisher Price Laugh

I have the same problem. I did manage to release one side of the toy bar (left side when looking from front) by pressing very firmly on the red plastic tab that's visible underneath, using a metal tool. But on the other side of the bar, the holding tab is hidden by a white plastic cover, which itself is held by 4 white plastic tabs that I couldn't release.

Pluged in smart cycle in t.v. and smart cycle will not come on please help

I had a similar issue. My Smart Cycle worked for a while, then it progressively became more and more temperamental, failing at unusual times, not turning on consistently, then finally quit powering on entirely. Turns out there was dirt & grime (maybe a little corrosion) on the game cartridge and plug. The solution -- clean with Windex and q-tips.

Here's the post that led me to that conclusion:

I have a fisher price smart cycle with no instructions and the controls on the handlebars aren't working. Any suggestions on what to check would be helpful. Thanks

You can visit service.mattel.com and search for the product. There you can download the instructions. As far as the controls go, check that the wires are all the way in (gently tug and push). If you do need to replace the handle bars, you can purchase them at store.mattel.com.
