If you did not change any settings it may disable video when your battery or memory is low. Movies grab lots of power and memory. They also work the chips inside the camera hard so they get warm. Please check to make sure your battery is fully charged and your memory card has lots of room.

SOURCE: when i try to download

1. Your computer must have a software (eg: picture viewer) to show you the pictures.
2. When you connect the camera to the computer, the computer should show camera storage as another storeage divice under my computer. if it is not appearing then the camera is not recognized by the computer..

SOURCE: i just purchased a new 650 -1300 lens for my nikon

The lens lacks the electronics to communicate with the camera. As you said, you must use the lens in manual mode. You control the aperture by turning the aperture ring on the lens. You can read the current aperture setting by looking at the lens, but you will not see the setting in the viewfinder. You also will not get any metering assistance from the camera. You can review the pictures (and the histogram) to fine-tune your exposure.

SOURCE: I tried contacting the Nikon

The five-minute limit has nothing to do with the memory card or the video resolution. In some parts of the world video cameras are taxed at a higher rate than still cameras. Cameras that can only record videos up to five minutes in length are not considered video cameras and thus are taxed at the lower rate.

When was the last time you saw a movie or TV scene that was five minutes long without any cuts or breaks? It doesn't happen often and very few people find the five-minute limit restrictive.

Video quality is a very subjective thing. The quality is better than that of almost all compact still and video cameras. It's not as good as professional-quality video cameras. Video has a different "feel" from film --- but which is better?

Since the recording length doesn't depend on the resolution, I'd suggest you always record at the largest resolution. Videos can always be shrunk in size --- they can't be expanded.

Sony je510 is displaying AD -DA

AD-DA simply means that your recorder is set to record analog. Hit the REC MODE button until it is set to record digitally.

My nikon D5000 monitor is dark and i have to look through the viewfinder to see the scene i want to take a picture of. monitor works fine to view taken pictures and in filming mode. why? and how can it be...

The Nikon D5000 must be set in "Live View" mode before you can use the rear monitor to take photos. There is a button that says "LV" to the right of the LCD screen that sets Live View to on or off.

But by pressing LV button, it turned into a video camera.

Actually, the LV button puts the camera into LiveView mode. In this mode, you can still take photographs by pressing the shutter release button. To take videos, press the OK button at the center of the multiselector. Stop recording the same way. To get out of LiveView, press the LV button again.

I have a Nikon D5000. Is there a way to edit out the date stamp on photos already taken?

Yes, but you can't fully recover what's underneath. Once those pixels were not recorded, they're gone.

Use any photo editing program. It's the same process as for editing out anything else undesirable in the photo.

I have two sd cards that are brand new on is a pq1 4GB sd hc and the other is a pny optima 2GB sd when I put them inmy camera it says filesys e00100 what is it?

I own a Nikon D5000, that has a 'pqi 4GB SD HC' memory card inside.Within this camera is also something called movie mode, in other words I can record short movies. Now here is the problem, Nikon says how much I can record on the memory card, depends on the speed the memory card records. According th them, I can only record 5 minutes on a 2GB memory card. Does that sound right to you. P-l-e-a-s-e I need help in understanding this.
If this is true,......what side memory card (HD if possible) would I need to record 30 minutes in the movie mode. Thank you so much for your help.

Reset.

Press and Hold the INFO button near the trigger and 'I' button at left side bottom for few seconds. Once the information appears on the LCD screen, your autofocus should be working.

Orelse, carry it to an authorised service centre.
