Periodically a Vizio TV may freeze up, showing that it's still turned on but not actually displaying any information from your input device or the TV's menu system. To fix a freeze, power cycling is the best solution:
1) Turn off the TV by pressing and holding the Power button on the cabinet until the TV powers down.
2) Unplug the TV from the wall power outlet.
3) Press and hold the Power button on the cabinet for 30 seconds, and then release it.
4) Plug the TV back in and turn it back on using the Power button on the cabinet or your remote control.
1. Open internal fuse
2. Power supply failure

Usually when the power light flashes and the screen remains blank and unlit, your power board is in fact malfunctioning. This is not always the case, as the problem can sometimes reside in the input or inverter boards. I would first recommend that you feel comfortable with opening up your screen and looking at components. It can be a little overwhelming at first. BEFORE PROCEEDING, UNPLUG POWER TO MONITOR. If inclined to check, carefully open the casing around your screen. I have not worked on your particular model, but some are easier to open than others.
Once opened, you need to gain access to the circuit boards. Sometimes they are not protected by metal, other times they are completely encompassed. The flashing power light usually indicates that a capacitor(s) is(are) malfunctioning. To see if this is the issue, locate the power board (usually the one with larger-size components) and look for any capacitors having bubbled or raised tops and/or oozing a brownish liquid. If not on the power board, look elsewhere for the same symptom.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! If you have recently had your monitor plugged in, the larger capacitors can still carry a charge. If you cross the leads of a capacitor while it carries a charge, it will discharge. It won't hurt any other components, but if you cross the leads with something that is in direct contact with yourself, you can get quite a jolt! There is usually a large voltage capacitor (normally just one) on the power board of these screens. I tested one with a multimeter after immediately unplugging it, and it still held a 166V charge! So please, do this with caution.
If a bad capacitor has been found, simply remove the old one and solder a new one in its place!

If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.
Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.
Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.
1The
internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic
charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read
by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the
protection circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong
voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in
, starting the flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be
inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a
multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to
read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem
SOURCE: no picture or sound, light comes on in the front and have to unplug tv to turn it off.
I had this exact problem on my Vizio 47" HDTV. I removed the speakers and all the screws on the back cover. Took the cover off and located the fuses on the largest circuit board. The are in the upper right hand corner of the board. There are 3 of them in a row labeled LF 1.5, LF 3.0 and LF 3.0. The are white in color with copper ends. I took a volt meter and measured continuity across all fuses individually and found the LF 1.5 to be blown. The guy at the electronics store sold me a barrel 1.5A fuse and told me to soldier it across the top of the blown fuse. It took an extra set of hands but the TV works perfectly.
