SOURCE: N64 isn't working with Vizio HDTV...

Do this, hook it up to another tv just to make sure that the N64 is workig properly. If it works on another tv then you know the system is fine. If it doesn't work on another tv then it could be that you have dirty games and you need to clean the contacts and then reinsert them into the system and get them to work.

Keep the system on a known good working tv until you can get your games to work and display properly. You can clean the games by using a damp q-tip and wiping the contacts on the bottom of the game back and forth a bunch of times, there will probably be all kinds of black that comes off.

keep on trying games untill you get one to work and display properly, then go ahead and move the tv to the one you want it to work on and test it out and it just might work then.

How can I hook up my ps2 to my Philips Magnavox TV?

First, you'll need a PS2 composite AV cable (Red, yellow, and white cable). If you don't have one, you can get one on Amazon for pretty cheap. (http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-2-Composite-AV-Cable-PlayStation2/dp/B00004U8QX)
Next, plug the flat end of this cord into your PS2, and the red, yellow, and white plugs into their corresponding outlets on the TV. There may only be yellow and white outlets on your TV (in which case they will be on the front). Then, turn both the TV and the PS2 on and see if its working!
If you don't have red, yellow and white outlets on your TV, you will need an RF adapter for the PS2. (like this one on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/RF-Unit-Adapter-by-Komodo-NEW-for-Playstation-PS2-PS3-/390624177322)
Hope that helps.

I need to tune my sharp tv to a set top box but am not having any luck. It only has an antennae connection and no AV channel. I have done an auto tune but cant get the set top box to work.

I have no idea what an antennae connection is. I assume you are talking about a Coaxial cable converter (large box that connects in line on the cable input). If this is the case, the box is override either channel 3 or 4. It either has a switch to pick which one of these to use or it is written on the box which one it uses.

If you are using a VGA connection (3 pins with 1 yellow, 1 white, and 1 red connector), then you have to find the AV channel. Every TV has one, unless it is like 4 decades old. If the TV is a few decades old, it may not have a channel called "AV" or "AUX". For example my dad's 25 year old TV uses 91 as the AUX channel. It is common for channels in the 90's to be used for this or channel 0. Best to just turn all the manually add/remove channels while the box is on. Then you can spot the right channel and add it to the listings.

Tv works great, dvd is new , cant figure out the right hook up , dvd has 3 cables white yellow red

Red = right sound channel, white = left sound channel and yellow = video (picture) channel. if you have the connections matching these on the tv, then there should be an AV channel on the remote/tv control panel. Select this channel to view, if more than one AV channel on the tv, there will be a number next to the sockets you plugged into. Select the AV number and away you go.
If your tv doesn't have the correct sockets you can buy a converter to use the ariel socket on the tv.

Hook it up to the tv

If your hooking it directly to the tv depending on how old the tv is use one of the inputs. Hook the two red and white to red and white and the yellow to the video in input. If it's an older tv you will need whats called an rhf adapter. Hook your color codes together and use a cable cord to go from the antenna out to the tv's uhf input. I hope this information was helpful........... : )

Just want the Orion TV (Model: STV 2763) to play VHS videos

Problem Solved:

Take your connector with the 3 colors red, white & yellow and plug into VCR OUT. The other end (w/ 3 plugs) goes into the INPUT on the back of the TV. Next insert a VHS Tape & search the TV for input or a channel below #2 for Cable#1,2,3 or AUV Channel.

In this case; Channel AUX #1
Shows / Plays Video w/ clear sound & picture.

Hook up

You can by an AV splitter box from dick smith or even k-mart audio section that allows you to plug all your units into it, then leads go to your TV. There is a switch on the box which you flick over depending whether you want to watch a DVD or play your game unit.

The other option is to have a llok at the back of your DVD player. Some have input AV's (the red, white and yellow holes !) where you could plug your game console into. Then you just leave your dvd plugged into your tv as normal. To play your game console you turn on TV and DVD player. Have TV on "AV" channel as well as your DVD player on "AV" channel (may also be your input or component channel.

Hope this helps :)

Playstation hook up

Hi Audrey, you need to get some a av cable ie the av with the 3 av connections on both ends, then i would buy a av - skart adapter so it will plug into any tv, i would say for both around £10 for both.
and it will get you up and going..

All the best
