My eclipse mp3 player will display the music files in the order of which I downloaded them on the computer but when I try to play them on the mp3 player they aren't in order and I have to go through all of the songs I previously downloaded to find the new songs.
Hi Rarity, check if in your Eclipse MP3, you have not selected the "RANDOM" playback mode
If enabled, the order of the topics will be done in a disorderly manner
I sent you the link to download the user manual
I hope you find it useful
Greetings Franco Dosil
Saludos Franco Dosil

SOURCE: music will not play from mp3
I had this problem. Plug your Slick Stick player into your computer, then go to MY Computer, right click and then click on Explore. In the left pane, you should see your audio device under a drive letter like J or E or another. Click on it and it should show "Audio Player". Click on that and you should get a blank screen if your MICIN.DIR is gone. If it is, just right click in a clear section of the page, go down to New and click on Folder. Name the folder MICIN.DIR. NOW, you are ready to add music to your player. Just copy and paste your mp3 songs into the same page where your MICIN.DIR is. DO NOT PUT THESE mp3s into the MICIN.DIR folder, but outside of it. The mp3s CANNOT be in a folder of anykind, they should just be loose where you can see them. The player looks for files, mp3 or wma, NOT folders. To check and see how much space you have on your player just right click on "Audio Player", not audio device. Audio player should be under audio device. When you right click and the drop down menu appears, then go all the way to the bottom and left click on "Properties" A pie chart will pop up showing you the amount of used space and free space. Now, on the Emerson mp3 Stick, which is like the Slick Stick, you have to put your songs INSIDE the MICIN.DIR instead of outside the folder. This is the only way they will play. I don't know why it is different. If this does not help, then write me at: [email protected]. We will figure it out. My name is Olen.

SOURCE: I have downloaded music into
You have to follow both steps on the instruction manual. When you first plug it into your computer it prompts you to name it. Then sync the music files off of Windows Media player..then you must do the second part where it explains about copying and pasting the music to it..this link opens the pdf manual that explains it just like the directions that came with it. http://www.eclipsemp3.com/CLD2manual.pdf
I think people are getting confused and thinking that step is only suppose to be used if they can't sync it ..but you actually have to do that part too or the files won't go onto the MP3 player.

i have the eclipse mp3 4gb and anything i download music or movies it shows format error even for its own manuel guide
SOURCE: eclipse mp3 player says "no file"
I had the same problem. I think most files that itunes uses are in a .m4a format. The eclipse mp3 player will need all the music files in an .mp3 format. The eclipse actually has a "software" folder that includes the "replay converter" that will convert these files for you - or you can download any number of freeware that will convert the files as well. Once I converted those files, my eclipse played everything. Prior to that - even though I had synced everything with my Windows Media player, I was getting the "No Files" message. Good Luck!
