SOURCE: Cannot remove attachments

your lock mechanism has worn out

I use a small drill bit towards the end of the rotary tool where

the air fins are and insert the drill into the fins to lock it down

then use the wrench to loosen .

make sure it's unplugged and don't be too forceful

SOURCE: I have an old dremel tool model 270. I just

If you are saying that the grout tool that you bought is a bit you hoped to use in one speed dremel, I would not use it if the manufacturer of the bit specifically said not to. If you are saying that you purchased a tool that operates separately and doesn't need to be power by the dremel, that is different. I can tell you that manufacturers never tell people not to use their product unless there is a pretty good reason! So, if it is the first scenario I advise you not to use the bit in the dremel.

SOURCE: How do I attach tools to my Dremel?

hello. You loosen the arbor at the base of the shaft closest to the tool. There is a tiny wrench in the kit that came with the dremel, or you can use a pair of pliers to loosen it. Joe

The pot metal in front of thequick release tension lever has broken and fell out. can I still use the saw If not where do I go to get another one 1830 120v 18inch scroll saw dremel

I believe the part you are looking for is called a "locking rod" dremel part number 2610922661, this is the black painted pot metal that is about 3" long attached to the upper arm rocker with a parallel pin, and the flip clamp (blade tensioning assembly) or it could be the small piece attached to the tension assembly that the blade attaches to which is silver and called the "blade holder assembly-top" part number 2610922683. I would recommend ordering both directly from Dremel CS 1-800-437-3635. I broke the locking rod on mine. I emailed dremel, and they emailed me back the next morning with a schematic, and parts list. I bought 2 and paid $10.41 total.

How to remove old hard grout from walls

There is no easy method that I have found over the years. The best thing that I have found is a speciality bit made for a dremel rotary tool. I believe it is made of titaninum and it is made to cut ceramic tile. They are not cheap or fast but they will get the job done.If you are dealing with a grout that is not portland cement base then dremel also makes several carbide tip cutters that will work.
This is a time consumining project and if you try to grind it out I would strongly recommend you use a good qualility dust mask. I hope this helps you and good luck. Thank you.

How do you remove wall tiles

You will need a chisel and a hammer for this. Will have to cover bath tup, shower base, anything that may chip from the fallen tile pieces. Start hammering the chisel behind the top tile, or smash the corner of a tile and try to remove it to be able to start. Be careful not to brake the plaster, this is the biggest problem when removing wall tiles. Keep hammer the chisel, and remove bit by bit all the tiles. Patch with plaster if big areas will get damaged in the wall.
