Depends on the make and model. If you can identify that you can download the manual if you lost it.

SOURCE: no instruction for slow cooker

Difficult to say, obviously it depends on the brand and model of the slow cooker, because wattages vary. I would suggest checking out the website for the manuafacturer or calling their Customer Care Center to obtain a copy of the Owners manual if you don't already have one.

SOURCE: Can't change temperature-stays on "warm"

Push the COOK TIME button, if the time changes then if you leave the number of hours between 1 and 6, and press the ON/OFF button, it will cook on high that many hours. If you leave the number between 7 and 10, and press the ON/OFF button, it will cook on low that many hours. If you leave the number at "0" then the slow cooker will cook on WARM. If the COOK TIME button does not work, unplug the slow cooker, hold both the ON/OFF button and the COOK TIME buttons down and plug it into a wall socket. After the lights flash a few times, release the buttons. the switches should work.

Della 12 Quart 1600-Watt Electric Pressure Cooker Multi-Functional Timer Slow Cook XL Part number: 048-GM-48261 Unable to get this cooker to slow cook.

it is possible that you have misunderstood the instructions
for a slow cooker you have low medium and high
press slow cook and on low and in 8 hours the food is cooked
I see from your statements that you expect the cooker to be set on slow cook but cook at a high temperature fast
if it says slow cook --9 hours and the temp is 125 degrees , have you waited 9 hours to see if it is cooked as the slow cooking process is by the gradual build up of heat in the container that is not expelled by radiation to the air
in a pressure cooker , that build up of heat also builds up pressure and so it cooks better
other solution--- if it is not right return it for a warranty refund or if out of warranty , junk it and get a different make

I pushed the cook time button but it still says zero what do I do

Hit the on/off button, so that the cooker looks like it is off, then hit the cook time button up the the number of hours you need to cook. This slow cooker has three settings: LOW, HIGH and WARM..... When your corningware slow cooker is initially plugged into a wall outlet, the display will show "0". This display indicates the programmed number of hours for which ameal will cook. The slow cooker can be programed in one hour increments from 1 to 10 on your digital display. The number of hours may be selected by pushing the COOK TIME button until the desired cooking time appears. If 1,2,3,4,5, or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the high setting. If 7,8,9, or 10 hours are selected then the slow cooker will operate on the low setting. To start the cooking cycle press the ON/OFF button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at anytime, press the ON/OFF button. If the ON/OFF button is pressed when the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the warm setting.

I have Ronson slow cooker with no manual, it has settings 1,2 qnd auto. Which is high and low, and what does auto setting do>

I also have a Ronson slow cooker.

Instructions from the book read as follows:
- On setting 1 (low), the slow cooker can operate all day and night if required.
- When set to 2 (high), it is very much like a covered pot on the stove. Foods will cook in half the time required for 1 (low).
- When set to auto, the slow cooker will cook on 2 (high) until the food reaches a pre-set temperature, then switches to 1 (low) and maintains a constant slow cooking temperature. Auto is the ideal setting for someone leaving the house for the whole day as most food will cook for 8-9 hours and be ready to serve when they return.

I always use the auto setting, unless I don't have as much time, and will then use setting 2.

Slow cooker will only stay on warm. How do I put

This slow cooker has 3 settings LOW, HIGH, & WARM
When you plug the slow cooker in the display should show a "0". When you press the "COOK TIME" button, the display should go to 1 then 2 then 3 etc. each time the "COOK TIME" button is pressed. If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "HIGH" setting. If 7,8,9, or 10 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "LOW" setting. To start the cooking cycle press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any time, press the "ON/OFF" button. When the cooking cycle is complete, your slow cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" setting. If the "ON/OFF" button is pressed when the the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the "WARM" setting.
If the "COOK TIME" button does not change the display numbers then unplug the slow cooker and hold both buttons down as you plug the slow cooker in. Keep the buttons pressed for a count of ten, then release them and the slow cooker should work correctly

How do I start the cooker on low?

The manual says "When your corningware slow cooker is initially plugged into a wall outlet, the display will show"0". This display indicates the programmed number of hours for which a meal will cook.

The slow cooker can be programmed in one hour increments from 1 to 10 on your digital display. The number of hours may be selected by pushing the COOK TIME button until the desired cooking time appears.

If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on HIGH setting. If 7,8,9 or 10 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the low setting.

To start the cooking cycle press the ON/OFF button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at anytime, press the ON/OFF button. If the ON/OFF button is pressed when the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the WARM setting.

When the full cooking cycle is complete, your corningware slow cooker will automatically switch to the warm setting, to keep food at a warm serving temperature."

If, after you plug the slow cooker into the outlet, the COOK TIME button does not work, unplug the cooker, hold both ON/OFF and COOK TIME buttons down, plug into wall socket and wait till the display flashes. Release both buttons and the slow cooker buttons should both work.

Ronson slow cooker settings

Hi. I'm a Ronson Service Centre in Australia.

I grabbled this blurb from a Ronson Slow Cooker Manual.

On Setting 1 (Low) the Slow Cooker can operate all day and night if required.
When set to 2 (High) it is very much like a covered pot on the stove. Foods will cook in ½ the time required for 1 (Low)
When set to Auto, the Slow Cooker will cook on 2 until the food reaches a pre-set temperature, then switches to 1 and maintains a constant slow cooking temperature.
“Auto” is the ideal setting for someone leaving the house for the whole day as most food will cook for 8-9 hours and be ready to serve when they return.

This is ridiculous. I just want the manual for the corningware sc 60 slow cooker so I can print it out. Why all the runaround. This should be simple

1. Turn off and unplug the slow cooker first.
2. Plug it in, but (yes, I know this sounds crazy) DO NOT turn it on.
3. Set your cook time and it will automatically set the temperature based on the cook time.

he The magic number is 7. Anything set for less than 7 hours will be cooked on high. Selecting a time more than 7 hours will result in cooking on low. Once the cook time has expired the cooker will automatically switch itself to warm until you turn it off. Follow these steps and you should be able to enjoy your cooker again! I don't know who was in charge of this type of setup for programming but they should be demoted at least - no wonder there are so many questions online about this one. Sure hope this helps you!
