SOURCE: i changed the drive belt and small idler pulley
you may have routed the belt wrong and it is getting no tension on it to drive the mower
SOURCE: idler spring came off when belt broke, not sure
Takes patients but can be done. First place idler arm in position then connect spring. Try and hold firmly while you place belt through pulley and fold around motor shaft. If installed right ,the pulley will maintain a constant pressure on the belt.

enter the model number and you will find a manual with pictures of how to route the belts along with a lot of other good information
