SOURCE: Opening the top of front load LG washer

to get your lid of the washer there are 2/3 screws at the back right under the lip of the lid once you have taken the lid of u will see the top of the soap drawer u can sometimes get into these by undoing the clips on either side of the soap drawer if u cant do it that way only other way is to make sure your soap drawer is closed properly and hit it hard at the front it should dislodge more than likely your conditioner drawer

SOURCE: My Whirlpool Duet Washer, model number WFW9400SW01 will not turn on. The button lock is off and does light up indicating power to the front panel/unit. Any ideas?

if you are mechanical and are not afraid of small wires you can try this. I had the exact same problem on my machine. i very slowly diasssembled the machine. not hard to do. removed the top. unscrews from the back and slides to the back to come off. remove the door. unsnap the plastic plate that goes around the door.it is held on by small snap clip that pop off if you use a small flat screw driver to pry it out. remove detergent tray. and screws that attach it to the inner box. now the hard part. remove the face plate. it unsnaps similar to large door plate.very carefully unclip the circuit boards. they are held in by plastic clips around the outside and white plastic clips in the middle. you must gently pry up and release these clips one at a time. a second person is helpful, so are small needle nose pliers. clean both circuit boards very gently with isopropyl alcohol and qtips. mositen the qtips and clean every inch of the boards. be very careful not to bend or crack anything. you must get all the yellowish flux and any other corrosion growing on the board off. there is one more board that must be cleaned. the power supply board. it is mounted on the top right side near where the face plate wire come through. this is not hard to remove it is held in by small clips. the tricky part is the wires. they are all designed so they cannot be plugged in incorrectly but i have seen what people are capable of. make a map. number them with a sharpie so you know where they go. remove this board and clean it the same way. this on will probably be the worst offender. i cleaned all the boards reassembled and it works like new. below the door is a panel that should also be removed. there is a removable drain filter that should be cleaned out. i found pens and toys in mine. the machine could not pump out the water fast enough and would shut down and trigger f70 and f 20 codes.

SOURCE: Door locked on compact Whirlpool front-load washer

This worked for me. I turned off the washer and hit the area on the washer directly to the right of the door handle (not hard enough to break something or cause a dent). It popped right open.

I have a whirlpool stackable washer and dryer.Model Lte6234Dt3 Serial Ms2102958. I need to replace the water pump. Do I need to remove the washer skin to do this?

Hello,

To replace the pump you need to remove the front panel of the washer to do that. To do that remove the diagoal panel between the control panel and and washer top. Usea flat blade screwdriver and pop up the brass clips in the rear of washer top, slide top out and off,the their will be screws on the side panels that hold the front panel on the left side must remove the hose asm. to fill spout to get to screw for front panel thats under fill tube asm.

Good luck, i hope this helps and if it does please give me 4 thumbs up

After changing the bellow on a whirlpool duet, I have no power to the unit and the power button is stuck down. Not sure if there is a switch that is not activated when the control panel was put back on?

If the power button is stuck I would say it was damaged while you were replacing the boot or something is not lined up correctly behind the console face. Unfortunately that power button is not just an individual switch. It is part of the user interface.
I would remove the top lid 3-4 screws at the back top and lift up and pull back. and see what I could see from there.

The Hold to start button is not starting the washer anymore. It used to work but it no longer makes the click that used to start the washer. It seems to be stuck

The user interface board is not serviceable and it requires to be replaced when it is not working properly or when a button is stuck. The procedure is quiet easy and you can do it yourself.

Disconnect power to the washer prior to servicing to avoid electric shock.

Remove the three screws attaching the rear of the top panel to the back of the washer then slide the panel rearward, and then lift it off the washer.

Disconnect the 7-terminal user interface ribbon connector from the left side of the central control unit.

Pull the dispenser drawer out until it stops; press down the release tab then pull the drawer completely out of the washer.

Remove the screw in the recessed hole at the left of the drawer opening. Press and release the tab securing the right side of the console to the cabinet.

Open the washer door then insert the blade of a flat-bladed screwdriver into the slot at the bottom center of the console then push the console up to release the tab attaching its bottom to the cabinet.

Gently pry up and release the top of the console then pull it off the washer.

Pull the cycle selector knob off the control panel then release the tabs securing the user interface/LED assembly to the control panel. Lift the user interface/LED assembly from the control panel once all of the tabs are released.

Inspect the Hold to Start button and the alleged stuck membrane in the user interface board. Replace the button if it is broken. Try your luck by trying to unstuck the stuck membrane. If no luck at all, replace the user interface assembly.

Install the new user interface/LED assembly into the control panel by inserting it into the tabs from one side to the other until it is completely secured, and then reinsert the cycle selector knob.

Align the console tabs with the slots in the cabinet then insert the tabs into position. Secure the left side of the console with the screw previously removed, and then slide the dispenser drawer back in place.

Reconnect the user interface ribbon connector to the central control unit then slide the top panel back into position and secure it with the three securing screws.

Note: The user interface assembly part number may differ from version to version of the same model. The version is indicated by the last digit of the model number so make sure to indicate the complete model number of your washer located on the left side of the door opening.

stick a flat bladed screw driver in the front side of the clip and the handle of the scew driver will be leaning toward the front of the machine, push the tool toward the back of the machine and the clip should pop out of the top.

Whirlpool washing machine

you dont youll need to remove the top of the washer, first remove the angular access panel between the washer and dryer, youll see 2 brass clip holding down top POP those off, there may be 2 screws directly behind the clips as well, the main top will slide off. now there are 2 5/16 screws holding the front panel on probably 5 inc or so down on inside wall of unit, after the front panel is removed youll see the suspension for hte unit, theres 3 suspension rods, im sure 1 or more is broke or come detached. retailing for about 85 bucks id see the temptation to replace the broken one but honestly id replace all three if that is indeed the problem
