sir on my experience it would be more cheaper if you buy a new unit than have the motherboard repaired because you will have to pay for the parts and pay the technician and wait until it got repaired. and on buying a new one you save time and money and you get to play with your console at once and have a new warranty.. i think that helps ya and please send us your feed back on how this comes out so thank you and fixya.

Almost all electronics are made cheaply nowadays, in other words they use cheap parts that wont last very long, so the more you use it, the faster it will wear or burn out. They build things so that it will hopefully last a little longer then the warranty, and then break down so that we will have to pay them money to repair it or replace it ! That is the truth and this is a fact !!! One thing we can do is buy an extended warranty when one is available.

If we know were going to be using a product a lot, and we don't want to be spending money any time soon on repairs or replacement, it's only wise to get a "good" extended warranty !
