Question about Nikon Cameras
Please make sure that no cables are plugged in. Many camera when this is done it goes into a remote mode and the screen shuts down.

Chances are the manufacturer will not accept damaged screens. If you've got a new camera, try your luck. Cracked screens are highly unlikely as the screens are not under pressure or stressed from the way they are constructed. Much like the cellphone screens, they are pretty tough to break. I broke mine after more than 15 accidental drops.

Please don't go for a self repair for such costly cameras.A simple mistake can hurt your camera badly.You can purchase a genuine accessory and take it to your nearest authorized service center.
