SOURCE: BIOS PASSWORD RESET

I have tried the backdoor passwords you provide me with Phoenix motherboard but unfortunately I can't put all the letters of these words.

My keyboard do not reply with the right row of the letters. I mean that I can't push any button from Y - H - N and to the right side of them. When I push them I hear a beep sound and nothing happened. So it was impossible to write these passwords.

On weekend I will try with software and DOS system like you told me.
Can I use the DOS system inside windows XP?

Thank you in advance.

SOURCE: I entered my administrator bios password wrong 3

there are a few different ways to resolve this issue
1. call the manufacturer and ask if they have a reset or a way to get the password

2.look in the manual and see if your laptop has a jumper setting that will reset the bio (including the password)

3 just go to the manufacturers website and get the latest bios update and flash the bios

4 remove the cmos battery leave it out for literally a week (7days) then replace it (best if the computer is off this entire time)- this way it forgets whats saved in the bios

SOURCE: Remove administrator Password.BIOS password

Hi

This is really, really strange but the BIOS password can be removed only by a local ASP. The technician will remove it and will update the BIOS to prevent such further, unexplained password settings.

User and Administartor passwords are only for your OS. Windows® for Example
To reset your BIOS password, you must disconnect your laptop-battery. Wait a few minutes, and put it back in. Now your BIOS password has been reset and you can access your BIOS again.

How to bypass Windows password for dell inspiron D630

If you're talking about the Windows Password for a user account try this: Turn the laptop off then turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see an option for SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let the computer boot up. When it gets to the login screen it will show you the Administrator account and the account for the user that you don't know the password. Select the Administrator account and hopefully it's not password protected. When you get into the windows desktop click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts. Under user accounts select the user for which you don't know the password then select the option to Remove Password. Click OK and reboot the machine.

I havent used my laptop for 3 years. I tried to turn it on and I have forgotten my password.

Any authorized toshiba dealer can remove the password for you (or should be able to) and some will do it for free, but you must take the unit in.
If you cannot find one locally, you can ship the unit to me, and I will remove the password for $25. You must pay shipping.

Password BIOS prompt comes up and do not know what to do.

Type the BIOS password, then press the Enter key.

If you are the Owner of the laptop, and did Not setup a BIOS password, then try this:
1.Type Password, press the Enter key
Or,
2.Type Administrator, and press the Enter key.
Or,
3.Press the Enter key, and do not type anything.

If this is not your laptop, and the owner set up a BIOS password, you are locked out.
