This advice is not model specific, but normally you would remove the air filter and access it that way.
Usually the actual fitting of the cable to the carburettor is pretty fiddly; sometimes it is easier to remove the carb, to do it.

Look at the old trigger and see where the spring has been rubbing. Place the spring around the trigger post and slide it into the trigger housing. With help of a small screw driver or scribe to flip the trailing end of the spring over the stop post in the housing. Hope this helps

Try blocking the throttle arm on the carburetor in the wide-open position with a small stick, then deal with the trigger mechanism. In order to remove the cable from the carburetor, you need to remove the carburetor itself, then unhook the cable end at the throttle arm. Keep track of which fuel hose goes where if you do this. it can be repaired, but you must order the new part from the manufacturer. . .i'd get a new one
