I have a Sharp Aquos TV. A yellow ‘K’ has appeared in the top left corner next to it is LC-B48CF6001KB underneath that is W:0. I have tried various suggestions online such as holding the menu button and volume button on the panel, none of which work. After trying various suggestions the screen then flashed white, then blue, then green and so on through differing colours (not necessarily in that order). However when turned on and off the original K screen returned. Any suggestions?

This 'K' usually denotes that you are in the 'service mode', and to exit it, you normally just switch off at the mains, (unplug the TV).

If you press 'input' and volume down ('-') together, OR,
volume down '-' and channel down '-' together,
that should take you into you into the service menu proper.
You use channel up/down to navigate the menu, (and volume up/down to alter the values).
You could try this, and see if there's a 'Factory Reset' option if just switching off doesn't work, but DON'T alter any of the service settings (if you use the reset, you will have to re-tune etc.)

I unplugged the TV and held the buttons down and it continued to flash. I continued to hold down the two buttons and replugged it in again and it worked. TV back up and working.

Unplugged it. After looking for a new tv online I decided to try getting it to work. So, plugged it back in and held down the power button, a red light came on, held down the power button again and an orange light came on, held down power button again and green light came on and tv powered on. This was simply a case of trial and success!

unplug, hold power button, plug in. If that doesn't work, unplug all the HDMI cables, unplug the power, hold power button, plug back in.
