Our RF610AUDX1 (22152-C) has recently tripped the house circuit breaker. Upon immediately trying to reset the house breaker it will trip again, however after a period of time (fridge back to room temperature) once switched back on (fridge/freezer empty) the circuit breaker didn't trip for another 28hrs. All the correct fridge/freezer temperatures were achieved. I've tested the defrost heater which looks fine (146.9ohms) and I've checked the 3 phase inverter compressor which has a consistant 6.6ohms on each winding. Any thoughts as to what could be the cause, and how to test?

Andy, leave the breaker off and remove the toe panel (bottom panel) from the dishwasher. Remove the cover of the junction box where the cord connection or wiring is made. Look at the wire caps and see if they are not burnt. Sometimes these connections become loose and arch, tripping the breaker. If so, cut the wires, strip a new end and reconnect. Catriver...post back.

Check your wiring between the contactor and compressor for a short to ground, or check the compressor windings for short to ground.
With the Tstat off, the contactor should be open so the only way for the compressor to be trying to do anything is if the 110 volts from the unbroken side are traveling through the compressor to ground. Since 110v is not enough to run it, the overload is kicking it out, cooling off, and repeating the cycle. When you kick on the Tstat, the contactor is supplying voltage directly to ground without going through the resistence of the compressor windings and kicking the breaker.
Post back and let me know what you find.

This sounds like a grounded wire in your defrost system. Start by finding the defrost timer and checking the wires. One may have been pulled loose or pinched while it was being moved.

Hi akula, 200 ks to a fridgie, LG appliance, you must be in Australia;) Is it the earth leakage circuit breaker operating. If so, then you have a leakage problem to earth from the heater pad(not quite sure what that is, but this problem will need to be repaired. Am doing some research to see if there is anything that can be done without just getting a new fridge. Back to you soon.
regards
Graeme
